Cool! Awesome review MC! Nailed it! One other thing about Shiro's mrbs is they are loose bearings. Makes takedown of the knife tedious sometimes. Other than that Shiros are great!! Thanks for the quarantine content! 👍

Awesome review 🙌 I acquired my first Shirogorov this week, a Neon Lite. It is such an amazing, yet simple knife with killer action.

I'd love to see a Shirogorov/Rockstead collaboration. All the Shirogorov style with a super high HRC Zdp-189 blade from Rockstead. Wouldn't that be something special??

You can get a Kami. That’s very very close.

Just picked up a 95t gen 4 Should get it tomorrow. Can't wait to check it out. Kind of wish I would have waited for CD 95T But I plan on using it so the production should be great for that! 👍🏼👊🏼

Catching up on a few videos I've missed this week..... SO glad I saved this one for last! Awe struck.... simply, awe struck. Also, brilliance exacerbated by the fact that it actually "cares" about the user LOL 19:03

I’ve got a F95 with single row bearings and it’s crazy smooth

If it’s as smooth as you say it is, and by the look of that slow hydraulic fall on your 90 degree turn, I gotta feel one. After you sent the donk back, I should have sent a short video- THAT thing is the most drop shut action I’ve seen where I have to actually turn it while the show side is up, or it will fall so hard by the weight of the knife that it bounces out of the detent. I don’t feel the blade moving when I press down on it and rotate it against one side (checking for opening and closing blade play) and there is nothing. That looks like a PMP Revenge type action with a slightly less tall blade. I love the shiros ... I just can’t ever get past the giant gap in between the lockbar and the frame, when I see paper thin cuts in other knives of this caliber - if I get a blade stuck in tough media, I’m feeling that lock rock on anything I use and I’ll need to leave less space for me to bend it. I really don’t see the hype but I want to. It might be because I’m just not flattered at the profile as it’s a little plain Jane in the lines and design. But great construction can be bought on so many models these days that during these last few years, I have found reate and a few WE to be better action than some of the most iconic actions we used to know. Remember when everyone said you can never flip a sebenza? And remember when that was the “glassy action” that had it all? Now I feel like there are so many great actions that even a father and son duo out of Canada can make TRM Atom for a reasonable price and the action is great. Maybe it’s the demand that’s pulling the prices up, but I always felt like it starts from the supplier. I’ve always felt like if someone wants a really good action, why not pay the same money and get a knife that everyone is after like a fif20 or the mini Koenig. Maybe I’m just not hip to the prices because I haven’t checked for about three years, but I remember feeling appalled at the price and wondering why it was held to such a high regard based solely on the action. I have to handle more than one at blade show and try to get some time in. I feel like there is a huge fan base there and a giant following, and that can’t be a mistake. There is something that I am absolutely missing here most likely

It's definitely outside my price range at this point in my life. My most expensive knife is my arius which ended up costing me $635 after I purchased a set of five blue ano screws. I think that's a high price, considering a large sebenza is $450, and a gen 6 xm-18 is $425. The question is do I regret buying it, and the answer is no.

Hey, very clever and neat review, Metal Complex! Great job! I own a Shirogorov F95 Slim, which is a ‘Nudist’ modification, it has that clean and sterile look that I actually prefer on a Ti frame lock folding knife, that’s why I also find the tumbled scales on my NeOn Zero so excellent even without any contouring but what is more important for me personally is that the blade thickness on F95 Slim is 3.5 mm versus 4 mm on a regular F95. I plan on getting a new Shiro model, F3 NS, which is a production variant of a custom division flipper, F7. Just wanted to ask your opinion on that new F3 NS model, do you like it?

That’s a sweet a$s Shiro there. I like the handle scales design. First I’ve seen like that but none the less their reputation is that of top quality.

Nice! I would like to check out an Arius.
@abc456f4 жыл бұрын
I don't own a shiro or plan to, the price is outside what I'm willing to spend. However, I did buy an arius a couple of months ago. Had been trying to find one for some time. Cost me $605 plus another $30 for a set of five blue ano screws. It fits my hand like a glove. When I first picked it up and gripped it, I had that wow! reaction. The opening and closing action is super smooth. Blade is ground very evenly, hollow grind coming down to a nice thin edge. The question is, do I think it's worth $635? Honestly it's pushing it, considering a large sebenza is $450, hinderer 3.5 inch gen 6 XM-18, $425. What i can say is that I don't regret buying it. The quality is very obvious.

I'm not sure on this one. Probably between $1000 and $1400. Sorry for the range. I cant remember what the owner told me originally.
