The Clutch Lock,Aluminum and 154cm version hits the spot for me and finally motivated me to get a Sheepdog. Been eyeballing one for years..

Just put this on my BHQ wishlist yesterday. Have an original mini sheepdog and this one seems to check all my boxes. 5/22/24 - finally pulled the trigger on this one. Will be here in 2 days.

There is a knife couple I follow who last week showed all the different Kizer Sheepdogs they have. It was the largest brand of knives that they own.

At first, this type of folder didn't catch my attention. But, after getting the Kancept Korvid M..which is similar , but in S35vn version.....it grew on me. I hear the Sheepdog is better, and now I want one

Still loving my liner lock sheepdog with DLC-coated CPM-10V with the thumb hole opener. The ergos of this knife are great. And because Kizer is awesome, you can get this knife in basically any combo of steel and handle material you want, even with a bigger or smaller blade.

Hey MC! Your reviews are some of the best, well thought out I have seen. Your time, effort, and "not an expert" opinions are much appreciated. Just this month, I got the black and purple aluminum clutch-lock versions on Kizer's Valentine's sale. Sadly, neither knife came with extra omega springs and while the purple (most reviewed of the new aluminum clutch-lock on youtube) is perfect, the black one has had many issues and I am currently in exchange process with Kizer. When a company sends you a knife to review, do you think they sometimes cater to a "knife reviewers" preferences? Agreed, they should include extra omega springs. But even on their website, none of the clutch lock sheepdogs have omega springs listed in the "included hardware". Your unboxing of the sheepdog clutch-lock (in aluminum or fat carbon) is the only one I have seen with included extra omega springs. Any large production company sending a knife to be unboxed/reviewed should be getting that knife off the same shelf for any customer, with no adjustments to packing extras or cherry picking a knife before sending it. Otherwise, how are we suppose to know that what a reviewer unboxed is going to be the same as what a regular customer is going to get. Of course, how to verify a company isn't cherry picking or sending in extras??? Well, I guess that's for another video haha

Thanks. I'm guessing this is something they plan on doing moving forward as it wouldn't be the best move to send a content creator something that isn't sent to the customers who buy the products. Kizer is pretty good about that. I'll wait to see what I hear from the community

Just curious, of all of the locks on the Sheepdog series does one of them keep the blade closed in pocket better than the others? I have a Benchmade Mini Rukus Auto I've been EDC-ing for over a decade. So, basically, being an auto, the blade is locked closed. I've had it open accidentally in the pocket (never felt it open), and I've stabbed my fingers when going into the pocket to retrieve it. Looking to swap the auto for carry in non-friendly states!!! Thing is, I'm looking for a lock system that will truly keep the blade closed when in pocket. Which Sheepdog blade lock would keep that blade closed the best, or are they all pretty much the same?

I was wondering if you were going to review this. I've got the aluminum 154cm version and I love it!

I got the purple aluminum version with 154cm. Probably one of the least price competitive knives by Kizer at $119, but the purple is so sick, and for a design this good I can't complain. For other companies this would be great pricing, but for Kizer this is on the expensive side for the materials. You can get titanium and s35vn kizers for under $100 on sale.

The bulldog feels a lot better in hand and has better action and got it for $48. Not paying extra for the colored scales. Micarta is alot more comfortable for daily carry, more affordable, and better grip. Carbon fiber can be slick when wet or sweety hands
@powerart19 ай бұрын
Why did they shorten it compared to the brass one? That extra .20" around the choil could have solved the thumbstud issue.

I have the aluminum clutch lock version and I didn't really liked it but I preferred my carbon fiber/S35VN/flipper version. If only The clutch lock version came in my car to then that would be my go-to. But I will pick up the button lock/hole version in Micarta when they run a sale on them for sureeee

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the looks on that knife, specifically the blade shape, just doesn't do it for me. I can certainly see why some would enjoy that aesthetic and it most likely performs like a champ, but cleaver style knives to me are just unpleasant to look at
