I have the Kaiser Militaw. It is so amazingly smooth. And it’s the base version. I bought a mini version for my son as a gift in his stocking for this Christmas. I cannot say enough good things about this knife. Everyone I know who has handled it absolutely loves it.

I obtained the WMK exclusive Militaw with blue richlite inlays for not much over $100, and it is a top favorite. I remember you talking a month or two ago about the knives we have that have such great action and ease of manipulation that you check to make sure the pivot isn't loose. I do that with my Militaw all the time, and guess what? It is never loose.

Yes. Agreed. The Militaw made me a Kizer fan. Ti, CF, fidget factor, butter action, and that polished DLC blade - freakin fantastic! My current favorite carry - over many far more expensive ones.

I missed out on twice on picking up the Huntsman and finally got one. I carry it more often than any other tactical knife I own. When I’ve shown it to friends, they react as if they’ve come face to face with a lion. It IS an intimidator.

I like the varatas over the militaw. Both are great tho. People sleep on the Mini Roach!! Great blade shape, great ergonomics, one of my favorites for sure. Wish they had a high end/premium version of it!

I have almost every Kizer knife including the new mini momo christmas(love it!). The ones I tend to grab out the door is Militaw, Coniferous, and Hic Cup. Mini momo really rocks!

I'm a Kizer guy, most of my collection consists of Kizers and my top 5, in no particular order, are: - Drop Bear (got the LC200N/Snowflake Gradient Titanium & S35VN/"Medusa" Fat Carbon ones) - Drop Bear is not a knife, it's an institution. - Task (got the Nitro-V/Spicy Red G10 one) - It is a quintessential EDC knife in my book, perfect geometry and size, amazing ergos and action, pleasing looks... - Sheepdog Mini (got 154cm/Richlite w/button lock & 154cm/black alu ones) - the best 5th pocket knife ever and I'm not taking no for an answer. - Mad Tanto (got stonewashed 154cm/green-ish micarta one) - old versions got a lot of bad rap, but, boy, is mine amazing or what, it has perfect ergos, oozes attitude and is freakishly sharp. - Mini Grouper (got the all black Nitro-V/CF-layered G10 one) - what a doozy of a knife, perfect mix of great design, wonderful mechanics, solid lockup and fidget fun.

Kizer makers some great knives in always drawn to throw in the pocket. The drop bear in LC200N gets heavy use from me. And I love the militaw, it feels traditional with just the right amount of new jazz to it. Had a momo in my cart on Amazon for a good chunk of the year. Maybe I’ll treat myself one more time for Xmas…

My first Kizer was the Clairvoyant in cf/s35vn. It was on a great sale, and I’d been looking at it for a couple years. Followed that with the Mad Tanto, and gotta say, not as excited by it. Weird button action, fuzzy micarta, and the unit I got looked used honestly (from Amazon). But 40usd makes it a edc for work, and it’s ok there, love the blade angles and grind. This Black Friday I pulled the trigger on two Sheepdogs (a discontinued s35vn/cf, and a blacked out XL in 154cm), and the Momo. Both Sheepdogs are fire, just as MC has said, along with a co-worker, and I love them. Ones a gentleman’s carry, the other is edc’d. But for the second time, I’m having trouble with a front flipper only Momo, which stinks, cause I love the design from tip to heel. My hand just doesn’t know what to do to easily maneuver a front flipper open. I’ve struggled with the Miguron Akri, and this one. Not sure I’ll try again. But for the most part, more wins from Kizer than not. And their customer service was solid for being on the other side of the world from me. 👍🏻

5:50 funny enough, a lot of reviewers have said the huntsman ended up being unexpectedly functional because of the pronounced secondary tip and the handle ergonomics. I want one ... once I'm willing to spend that much 😭

Agree that the Militaw is the best Kizer knife. I have four versions - original, purple haze, budget mini and fixed blade. Awesome knives.

If I could only keep one Kizer in my collection, it would be the Hawk. The feel and texture and design of that handle is unique and feels better in hand than anything else I’ve held at its price point.

I encourage everyone to try carrying the TITANIUM version of the Kizer Gemini with the Ti clip. MC, not sure if you have reviewed the Titanium version or not, but I'm pretty sure it would ratchet up a spot or two on this list. The Micarta one I haven't seen in person, but the Ti one I bought is so SO good. I polished it and then flame/Ferric Chloride anodized it, and it is now my favorite EDC.

The Original is, IMHO, the most underrated knife of any brand and my 2nd favorite Kizer of all time. #1 for me is clearly the Minitherium, which is a true classic (along with its big brother). Isham had a couple other Kizers that could make a top 10, especially a GOAT list.

Agree on your take on the Militaw(s). I think I have 3 of them, then 2 mini’s. What bums me out (at least by looking on their website), is that Kizer seems to be discontinuing a lot of Sheepdog variants. I’m glad I got into Kizer when I did, because I have a lot of Sheepdogs in my collection, including the model you showcased here. They’re all great. I’ve been wanting Kizer to make an ultra premium Sheepdog with their shiny DLC for quite some time, with minimal billboarding like they did on the M390 Militaws. They released their DLC Drop Bear (not shiny) around the same time they released their black clutch lock Sheepdog, but it was just PVD black, not DLC. C’mon Kizer!

I asked customer service this question and they said they aren't making more. Haven't checked recently, but it was showing high stock for non-US customers. If you really want it, there are package forwarding services in places like Canada and EU that will let you use their local address to purchase a product that is unavailable to US customers and they'll ship it to you for a fee.

Kizer is underrated. Love my DLC Militaw, have a matching Momo in DLC and purple haze fat carbon. Both great knives. Also have a tanto carbon fiber Beglieter that is great too. Might have to pick up a Brat at some point.

These are all great but I think it's worth mentioning for people who live in stupid knife law countries like I do that Kizer make some of the best Slip Joints in the world too. I literally have 3 Vagnino Zip Slips inc a UK exclusive with a Sabre grind. I can't tell you how good it feels to have UK exclusives sometimes when the shipping, import and tax costs are so high!

You ain't missing much on Kizer 4v, I had 3 knives in it and along with the 10v and they tried to do was done pretty rough. They knew it, that's why they stopped working with it. The 3v is acceptable but the 4v and 10v was not done well at all.

Im shocked Towser K wasnt higher up the list. I bought the Serape version first. It was probably what got my blood pumping for knives. The action is just perfection compared to everything else I used. The only knife I have as good or perhaps better is my maxace mamba. I liked the towser k so much I bout the premium elmax version on kizer for $110.
