Have one of each color. Have over 100 pocket knives. Have been collecting/using for over 20 years. This is, IMO, the finest EDC knife I’ve ever come across. Jacob, you’re a magician……congrats on creating an affordable masterpiece. 🏆

The texturing is what makes this knife so awesome. I love titanium but the diamond and jigged textures can be boring. Thanks the review!

The Varatas has been on my list for sometime. When I saw that they were releasing this version, I jumped on it immediately! Blacked out fanboy! This is a well designed knife, and I really enjoy it!

Two of the companies producing the most amount of knives I want right now are, #1 is easily Kizer but also Vosteed is making some cool knives that I really like too. There has to be at least 5 knives I want right now from Kizer, a high end drop bear (blue fat carbon and elmax or an s45v version), the super cool momo, dogfish, varatas, feist in 4v, then the coming soon kizer beyond looks excellent for the money. Sure there are more desirable knives out there but at least for stuff cheap enough to not feel bad about using, Kizer can’t be beat right now. I also love to see them using so many cool steels too, they are making it affordable to be able to try them but also doing it with awesome design. I just hope they keep coming out with a fair share of front flippers, I love a well designed front flipper and kizer has killed it with them so far. If I could only buy from one knife company for 2024 I would call it right now with kizer.

Have the big Chinese manufacturers cracked the code on controlled drop of a blade? I just recently picked up a premium Vosteed Nightshade, and it closes like I always imagined a Herman knife would. Always makes me smile. If I could see one and determine if I can reverse flick it, I might buy one. I only have about 3 knives I can reverse flick (about 4% of my collection). The only one I can reliably reverse flick is my Divo Stout.

I got a silver varatas after the militaw, that I was looking for, was unavailable… liked it so much I got another for backup would have liked a black one but didn’t know it existed lol anyway it takes a scary edge. Great video, unlike some reviewers with excessive throat clearly and booger picking lol what is wrong with ppl kudos

That small hologram sticker should have been something that glows instead, a tritium slot or just typical glow in the dark material, shaped like a square. That'd have been so much cooler. In fact I initially thought it was a gitd square.

@metal_complex, I've resigned myself to my fate as a lefty. With the exception of Cold Steel, manufacturers are gonna keep kicking me in the nuts. I'm at peace with that. That said, you know of members of the knife community who are good at/teaching how to do my own addition of left pocket clip holes in various materials? I'm a soft handed fancy lad- I'll destroy an innocent knife if I don't consult an expert first.

Why do you always call it the benchmade griptilian, when its completely not? Is it made or partnered with benchmade? It doesn't even look anything like the griptilian. Is it even the same designer? Please tell me why. Thanks

the griptilian is a benchmade knife design. hogue makes the RSK which is by the same designer as the most popular version of the benchade griptilian, doug ritter, and is for all intents and purposes a hogue griptilian. so some people still call it that. as to why MC specifically calls it a benchmade griptilian no one has any idea hes done it for literal years/
