Many years ago I bought one of their first cassette tapes and it had a phone number for the band manager in the liner notes, so I called it for the hell of it. Surprisingly, I got an answer and it wasnt the manager it was a couple of the band members and they talked to me for a bit. Total highlight of my life at that time!

@TobernSavage Michael Moorcock has a series of novels and short stories about his "Eternal Champions", one of which is Elric of Melnibone. Elric travels many worlds and gets involved with gods and demons. He carries a black sword called Stormbringer, which has a will of its own. It keeps him alive, but it is also very bloodthirsty and causes him much grief.

He is anemic. He is a sorcerer. He is not an elf, as I believe the Sidhe from the Corum stories by the same author were the elf equivalents. He needed drugs to function before getting that sword, which is a sword you may have seen in art before. He is also a dragon rider and a god slayer, and the Valerians in Game of Thrones are modeled after him.
