My friends dad is the same age, he seen that we showed interest in bands like Trivium and Avenge Sevenfold. He was like wanna hear some real metal and showed us Slayer, megadeth, exodus, testament, sepultura, nuclear assualt. Glad he did our little friends group ended up starting a thrash band played together played for about 9 years. Best times of my life. No matter what I do in life, I'll never grow out of slayer, and Kerry's blunt honesty is admirable.

Great interview, love the new album. I completely agree with Kerry's comment about the '90's and all of the stupid, disposable bands that were popular then. I like all of Slayer's albums, especially "Diabolus", great tunes and production (mix, I wish "God hates..." sounded the same as...). I'm looking forward to hearing some more from this band...\m/

At least Slayer were consistent with staying true with their sound and doing what they like to do whether the fans stayed loyal or not, but why wouldn't you. Been a fan since '87 thanks Kerry!

I really want to like this album but so far it sounds like a B sides Slayer compilation of songs they discarded. There are so many other metal bands that I listen to that have much better new albums than this.

I just started listening to the new album and so far it’s not doing much for me. “Idle Hands” is awesome but the rest are boring to me…I am only about half way through the album. …are there tracks after the halfway point that really have stand out parts in them? Maybe there's something wrong with my ears, but his solo material sounds generic and boring to me. Rehashed Slayer riffs galore, and pointless meandering guitar solos (drenched in wah). Paul Bostaph was great on this album though. He made some very uninspired riffs sound somewhat listenable. He was playing his ass off. There were a few songs that had some good ideas, but way more filler than killer. I love Slayer, and you cant take away Kerry's contribution to the band. But this album wasn't up to par imo. Phil Demmel, and Mark Osegueda are both Bay Area legends, but their contributions seem pretty minimal. Seems like Kerry was playing dictator here. But again, maybe my ears are not working correctly. Not hard to shit out album after album when you play 90% filler.
