Very impressive, I am a new Deus user too. I've never used an XP detector before. This is a true story...I went out for the first time ever with my new Deus two days ago and using pre-set program 2 I found a George III 1784 half guinea on edge on a wheat field, I have the video to prove it and will upload it soon. Really happy with the machine so far. Many thanks for the video Mrix. I'm trying to get as much info on the Deus as possible at the moment.

WOW I am impressed, I have just ordered a XP Deus, and cannot wait for it to arrive. I was impressed on Sunday at our club rally, several of our members have these detectors they certainly find the small coins. Thak you for the demo and info.

Hi D Tect, Thanks for your kind words, apparently I have found out the fast mode is to be used when you are on very heavy mineralised ground as it reacts faster between ferrous and non ferrous targets.

What i find puzzling is that in the goldmaxx manual they say that lcd displays are to slow and not as responsive as tone,yet this is their choice for this newest of editions ,any reason for this turnaround

Good video. GM Power sounds like a basic all metal mode, especially if you are now hearing the nail; thus giving you a fraction more depth. Fast Mode seems to be related to sweep speed of the user.

Hi HH, thanks for the kind words, these tests are only to give people a rough idea of what the Deus can be capable of if your a New user like me, from the test we can clearly see just how well the machine copes in the basic programs. I must be honest and admit I thought the basic programs had a form of discrimination incorporated in them even though the ground at that far is very clean with hardly any mineralisation so my mistake might not of made too much difference, very impressed though.

Good video---basic settings are ok. for me Just shows the engineers have worked hard to enable new owners to "switch on and go " Cracking machineand would certainly recommend . 10 programmes--adequate for all types of venues. My adage is " if it aint broke-don"t fix it " I"ve got half a dozen lollipop sticks if you need them for your next video. Thanks 10/10

Yes I was aware shortly after that I missed the ground balance, I guess as the ground balance was not set it goes to show maybe even more performance may of been gained if ground balance was applied, I know it very clean ground so on this occasion I don't think it would of made much difference.

Awes buddy .. b ought a dues other week .. took it camping .. just having a quick go befor went on beach .. dug a pound up .. .. not had much luck on beach bit of lead and but of copper .. but my lady buried a pound in sand .. blew me ears off so I new it was working well then ... there's lots to learn .. but will be fun and will start putting vids up on our channel as well as me other vids cheers chris & Sam

Really good video! Surprised the results you got with the Henry hammered. I use the CTX with 17" Coil, and thinking of getting the Deus with the 13x11 LF Coil and the HF Elliptical Coil for both plough, and to go over pasture for targets I may have missed. Would you say it's worth going for it?

Hello, you already have a really good powerful machine in its own right, I would not personally buy another machine as there will hardly be any benefit, you would obviously have the light weight of the Deus which is a huge plus but you will not really see any performance boost, best of luck in whatever you decide, mrix

Thank you for your quick reply! My main reasons would be the tiny targets the HF Coil can pick up, and the fact that it's a really good machine amongst iron areas. I love how lightweight it is too.

@@LawnBowlerUK Hello yes in the Deus fast program it will be lightening fast in the Iron areas, on a down side obviously when the processor is being flogged it will lose depth in that program etc,

mrix True, but I suppose if you slow your swing speed you can get a bit more depth that way. I might try to borrow a Deus and do a depth test and iron test against my CTX to see how it compares. Thank you for your help! Also though, which LF Coil is best in your opinion? 9, 11, or 11x13 for general pasture detecting, hopefully for depth but also finding good amongst the iron and small objects?

@@LawnBowlerUK yes if you can manage to get hold of a Deus that would be the ideal solution to compare yourself, I think the 11" coil is the great all rounder and is very light weight for the size.

Hello Dennis, I also owned the e-trac for 3 years but as you say its a little on the heavy side, as for the deus the default programs work very well so it can be an easy switch on a go machine if you want it to be, best of luck with your new machine........mrix

IMPORTANT - Please remember this ground test video is just a very rough guide to what can be achieved while switching on the deus and using the basic program settings, this ground is relatively clean and has not much mineralisation so your machine under different ground conditions might work better or worst, it very hard to say as I am sure you will understand, saying that though I feel if you are buying a top end machine many will want to see what it can be capable of, hence this Video. mrix

Hello its going to be the setting with the slowest reaction speed, something like Relic, you would then need to swing the coil slow and low to get those deep targets.

Well done Mrix, nice vidio, there is so much to learn with the deus and your test bed is an excellent way for people to start, as already mentioned I would always do a quick ground balance as this will improve the quality of the signals, there are lots of tweaks you can do depending on the ground you are detecting, the reactivity setting has a surprising effect on depth, but as you have demonstrated you can get good results straight out the box and the basic programs should not be forgotten.HH

Hello memphisrevisited, the ground balancing is fairly simple to do, you can manually set it, set it in auto tracking or use pumping, I tend to use pumping, you basically pick an area of the ground you are about to use your machine on which is clean from any metals or mineralisation and pump the coil up and down over the ground until you get the OK display on the screen. Have a good long read through that manual, many of the basic modes work very well, Deus fast, GMP and Basic 1 are all very popular.... best of luck mrix

Hello The Revster, I was trying to mimic as close as I could to a naturally found target, grass in itself can cause no end of falsing so in my personal view its far better to replace everything the way it got removed from the ground and keeping as much of the clod intact as possible but everyone has their own idea`s, best regards mrix

My new unit will not achieve these depths, and the American distributor apparently thinks its ok to have a salesman answering the main phone number and argue with me as to whether I have an issue. The man told me i could not talk to their technical support dept. and hung up on me when I demanded to talk to someone other than a salesman. Detector electronics corp. gets one more chance to get this right, or I will be returning the unit for a refund. Poor attitude, and poor customer service.

Hello Wayne, sorry you never got the depths I achieved but it all depends on the ground conditions, if the ground is baked hard that will effect depth and also if the ground is heavily mineralised that will also effect depth.....
