This song destroyed me bro, my dog passed away about 7-8 months ago and it’s been super difficult for me. Counterparts is a band that gets you so emotionally invested in each song that they hit 10x harder than most other bands imo. They’re a gem.

Haha you actually did it! 😅 Look at that good boy! 😍 Man pets are just my weak point. First time I listened to this song it really hit home, almost made me tear up. You can really feel all the emotion in Brendan's voice in this song and I think everybody who has a pet themselves can relate.

The song is dedicated to the cat that we see in the video. Apparently, Brendan wrote the lyrics when the cat was seriously ill and the vet told Brendan that it can die soon. Luckily, the cat survived and looks healthy now
