Gotta respect SaberLeomon for being one of the few Digimon ally and a supporting character who killed an antagonist by delivering the finishing attack instead of the main character usually delivering the finishing attack.

In recent digimon shows , it has to be main protagonist unfortunately. But in digimon adventures, all main villains where killed by holy digimons . ( Etemon killed by leomon , Vamdemon was killed in 02 not in adventures, and Apokarimon was killed by all chosen children)

@@joaocisne556 That and MetalEtemon is a fresh mint Digimon compared to Zudomon who was around at the Myotismon Saga. His Hammer as you said is built inside out of the metal. Foe Etemon it's just a paint job I guess.

Leomon's data was already unstable when he warp digievolves as well. Warp Digievolving was already slowly internally killing him and it would happen randomly.
