Asami, who didn't even know what metal was before joining the band (or so goes the anecdote), has taken to thrash by her own admission because she loves performing Lovebites' thrash songs. She has even written one herself: Winds of Transylvania. Since she doesn't play guitar, but does play the piano, she composed the riffs on the piano, and Midori adapted them for guitar.

Thank you for checking out lovebites. I love them all obviously but when it comes to the 2 guitarist I'm on miyakos side. When Destinies Align is one of Lovebites most famous songs and is the song they wrote while on tour with dragonforce. You will not be disappointed with the guitar work in that song. We The United is my personal favorite song from Lovebites and always will be and thats after hearing every song lovebites has to offer. The harmonizing and overall vibe of the song is just perfection. Definitely can’t fault you for having a favourite member Midori is my favourite too, anyway I know it’s a complete departure from what you have been getting used to when it comes to their songs but they do have a song called Epilogue this song was written by Asami both the lyrics and music and it’s a ballad filled with Acoustic guitars and piano and is a really good song kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHqke4x4qtp-fa8 hope you enjoy it (or not lol)

Great song. I love the breakdown. Sounds so nice, also thanks to the accents Haruna is contributing. I almost wish it would go on for longer. I can't really name a favourite member, because I love them all. But Midori is definitely the most fun to watch. And Asami is such a great frontwoman. She's consistently hyping up the crowd and having a lot of fun on stage as well.

I have a feeling one reason Miyako rarely leaves her spot is that she uses a lot of pedals and doesn't want to leave the board. I don't know since i don't play guitar but that might be a reason? I love when she channels her inner Gary Moore, myself, and prefer her more melodic solos to Midori's technical and excellent but more chaotic solos. but that's me 🙂

I think you'll find as you go along that the songs that have more of a bouncy hard rock feel to them (for lack of a better way to describe them) brings out the 'bounce' in Asami. Dancing with the Devil is another song where she seems more into the beat of the song. Break the Wall she headbangs on the intro, but most of their songs she uses more of her ballet background with her movements, particularly her arms and hands.

@@thedocofrock1890 Yes, I have seen it, and you're right. I think her ability to match her movements to the music, whatever the song is, is underappreciated. One of the things, beyond their musical ability, that I think makes them so good live, is their attention to the little things. It could be dismissed as simply calculation, but they have the knack for making it authentic.
