The first scene of this video was shot at @ home-cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo. Japan's largest maid cafe with floors up to the 5th floor, where band founder Miku Kobato worked. She dropped out of public university in a year and lived in Tokyo aiming to become a singer. This is where she came up with BAND MAID. She liked maids, but her real wish was to be a singer. In the final scene, she gathers five members to form a band and dances like a family. We can think of it as a homage to the maid cafe where BAND MAID was born.

Cool reaction.👍 But listening to "Warning" and "After Life" back-to-back (two of B.M.'s latest and most eclectic songs) can lead to serious misconceptions about these girls. I think MVs like "Alone" and "YOLO" or live performances like "Real Existence" and "Freedom" could give you a more accurate portrait of the band.😉

The band's founder, small pigeon, worked at a frustrating, low paying job at Maid Cafés where she originally came upon the idea to form a hard rock band dressed up like employees at Maid Cafés in Japan. Unfortunately, the Maid Café in Miku's hometown is no longer a restaurant. It is now a brothel. So the MV was filmed at another Maid Café. The young lady going nuts in the video is Miku back in the day. Her assessment about working at Maid Cafés. "Waste of time. Waste of time." I sincerely wish everyone was crazy like these fine women are. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

Band-maid is awesome. You should check out their live performance. But if you want to see a crazy music video then check out the song Warning! Akane is great drummer! Love her smile! @@PECK_music I think it will definitely give the videos a more global appeal. I personally love the sound of Italian and have no problem reading subtitles, but it may trip up a lot of people. I think their English is fine, maybe if they get stuck in English for how to express something they could slip back into Italian, though 👍

As with all Japanese and Korean groups/bands they are better live. "Domination" live is a one good to see that. The Maid costumes are to create "the Gap" meaning the difference in what you are seeing demure maids vs what you are hearing Hard Rock. They write, arrange and produce their music with an impressive catalog of songs. They are all highly talented, professional and have on-stage charisma. Kanami (lead guitar) is the composer, Miku (rhythm guitar) with Saiki (singer) is the lyricist. MISA (bass) and Akane (drums) create their lines from the music send (internet) by Kanami. Then they finish/complete the song(s) in the studio with Saiki having the "We re done" call. Now you should react to Lovebites, "Holy War" is a good starter, and Nemophila, "Dissension" is nice song to start. Welcome to the world of Japanese all female Rock/Metal bands!!! No matter how good you think you play a Musical Instrument, there is a Japanese Lady who plays it better. (stolen/paraphrased)
