Riverdale writers wish they were this good in writing a story. thank you for liking this song. This actually one of my fave in the album.

Do you know them personally? I listen to every KZbin posting and I swear it's Este who says that line in this performance. It only makes sense that Danielle says the line in the Taylor Swift tour performances but they don't sound anything alike.@@Lolilillisjdjdhddj

I love the fact that in the chorus, she says "I *think* he did it", and the backing vocals go "No, no, he did it." Like, there's no "I think" here. He did it, and we need to call him out.

love that for both of you, i was recently re-introduced to taylor, not gonna lie, i was sleeping on her during 1989 and reputation, but came back for her when lover came out and i loved getting to know her all over again. as much as i'm gonna hate it, after Red TV come out, i'm gonna avoid taylor's music for a year, just to feel the thrill of knowing her all over again.

Fun fact: Este is one of the (three) HAIM (pronounced hahy-ihm) sisters and she co-wrote the song, also the restaurant named in the song is actually Este's favorite and in the song when Taylor sings "Good thing Este's sister gonna swear she was with me" and someone says "she was with me dude" that is Danielle (Haim main vocalist), Este's sister in real life hehe.

This should remind people of Carrie Underwood's "Two Black Cadillacs". Also I believe Haim was mentored by Stevie Nicks.

A critical point of analysis for this song was how this takes on the form of writing and melody of her generic pop hits. It’s fanservice, compared to all the other, less palatable but innovative sounds and lyrics that she’s put out for folklore and evermore. The fact that everyone loves this song actually proves how this song is the odd one out, compared to the other, heavier, yet more poignant, but less catchy songs
@kevinwallaston44624 жыл бұрын
Willow, long story short are also catchy songs. Nothing on Folklore and Evermore is about fanservice....they are all about telling stories and using whatever production to get those stories across.

@@kevinwallaston4462 When you think about it, the theme of this song is revenge, and it’s the cheapest emotion to play at. I mean, it’s human to be vindictive, but, that proves that point :))
@disgaeajean134 жыл бұрын
Mind you, this is coming from a place that has been critical with the rest of the album. It just doesn’t seem to deserve to be there alongside the others, because it pales in comparison to the others. This song actually has everything that made the fans love her pop material! It’s not that I don’t enjoy it! I love this song, but it’s the one I’d kill if I’d have to play fk, marry, and kill with this album. Hahahaha lol I just realize this song talks about killing someone and it’s the song I’d kill :\ UGH I hate my brain
@kevinwallaston44624 жыл бұрын
@@disgaeajean13 Point really not proven. This album has revenge, infidelity, grief, mental illness in addition to the love and love lost theme. But if someone listens to this album at face value, they will have your same opinion thinking everything else is about love and love lost and that one revenge song as the odd man out.
