The albums, folklore and evermore are supposed to be made up stories from her imagination, while in quarantine. Her first albums that veer from her typical personal stories and experiences. It gives a similar vibe to Goodbye Earl by the Dixie Chicks Which was one of her favorite artist as a young teen when she was in her country era. She is also really good friends with the Haim sisters who feature on this song Edit: lol i commented before you got to the “Earl” comment. Right on 😜. Taylor has always been an amazing writer and storyteller despite what era or style she has always written all her songs herself
