What you call "free style" "ethnic touch" in the song is actually Dimash using Kazakh folk music in his runs which is very similar to Arabic yoddle. Much of Kazakhstan's folklore in music and dance is a mix of Asiatic and Middle Eastern influences.
@muratomar65024 жыл бұрын
Michael Myers's Sis Kazakh ethnic music never had an influence of Arabic or Asian folk music, moreover is different depends on a region of Kazakhstan. The West KZ has more instrumental type of music, Adai (beginning of Daididau at his Bastau) is a pure example of the West style...Daididau itself is closer to the North-East style with its melody and high lyrics. South KZ maybe has some minor influence of the Uzbek melodies but in modern songs.
@ericcoskun14 жыл бұрын
Actually, Kazakh folklore and culture is part of the greater Turkic culture which has been around for 8,000 years, predating even the earliest Chinese cultures. So the influence comes from Kazakh/Turkic culture and filters into arabic and Asian cultures.
@aggieaguilera4real4 жыл бұрын
Heh, heh. I love how Dimash has folks on here discussing the historic cultural influences that have impacted Kazakh music...and this was just him singing a cover of a 30+ year old Lionel Richie song, in English no less, on a Chinese TV show. 😏 Then let's not forget that right now we're all on a metal channel watching him share space with Jenjer! 👹 I'd say this qualifies Dimash as a legitimate ambassador for his country and for music in general. Kudos to Boostd Reviews for your well-trained eyes and ears. l hope your friend makes a full and speedy recovery.

One time is always not enough, although each Dimash's song is love at the first listen. But it's necessary to listen to it again and again... It's amazing - to connect the west with the east like that! When the English "hello" sounds like a call from a minaret - it's almost a revolution in a single vocal piece! Azan of love. Elegant, beautiful and, unexpectedly, such a harmonious move. And the magic flute ... In the final of the song "Mен сені сүйемін" (men seni süyemin) - "I love you" in Kazakh. How does he do that? Somewhere the stars alinged in a right way, so that this boy came into this world, grew up and made us happy. It's just that he is music.

Because you don't just talk about vocal technique, you analyze as a whole, you add body language, stage details, clothing details, light reflections to this and you comment and I really like this. Because I think that's what real reaction and analysis is. This also shows how careful you are. You are someone who cares about details and you have a structure that can understand the person in front of you very well. Thank you very much for loving Dimash and for watching, working on and sharing his reactions. I hope you get the chance to listen to him live like me one day.

This ranks with my favorite Dimash performances as well. I liked how he gave us a foreshadowing of that massive 4-part run early on....just a little taste of the ethnic sound. And that lovely interlude! Wow! I like to think of it as "floating with Dimash": I could watch that bit over and over. You're right: he never cedes control of the stage or coasts in his performance. No matter if it's his movements or just his eyes, he is fully engaged, communicating with his audience. It's simply amazing to watch. I’m always looking forward to your next Dimash reaction. You were right Wǒ ài nǐ is I love you in Chinese and this performance was in China at the competition I’m singer. He did it two times to replace I love you by Wǒ ài nǐ and he finished with I love you in Kazakh his mother tongue.

For me I have a lot to talk about Dimash's capabilities of course since I'm a singer, but I'm just gonna say few words , he started gentle to show that (my love for you is sincere) then all the higher notes especially the highest, it's about letting all the feelings out to get it out of his chest hopefully to be heard, coz this song is about a person who's in love somebody so much but he just can't say it straight, and right after the last highest note, he gets to his knees, he goes way down, to say...I love you...sincerely

There are no words with Dimash. All that he do is make it with soul.

I'd love to see you react to one of his official music videos. Though he's not singing live on those, the artistry in the videos is amazing. He works with directors that use a lot of symbolism and fantastical styles. Beautiful stuff. Akkuym/My Swan is a beautiful Kazakh song and visually stunning. Love of tired Swans is Amazing vocally and visually. And Know. They're all on his KZbin.

I have also suggested that. Really interested in a photographer's take on either Know or Love of Tired Swans. Not Screaming; I think that one's not super interesting.

Suggested it too in the last reaction - as a photographer being so such aware about the visual side.

One day I'd like to hear you do Know and also Ascolta la Voce (which means "Listen to the Voice" in Italian) in a double reaction. They are different songs, but based on the same motif--one with lyrics, and the other with only vocalizations in a way that almost sounds impromptu (though I would imagine it is planned and practiced in advance.) Both are beautiful, and so interesting to compare and contrast. Love your reactions--the comments you make about the lighting, staging, camera angles, etc are very interesting and help to make your reactions unique.
@silviastanescu93124 жыл бұрын
I guess Ascolta la Voce is not practised thoroughly in advance because he always sings it sooo differently in concerts.Last autumn and this spring I heard different versions,no one was the same
@youlleatamuffinandlikeit45964 жыл бұрын
@@silviastanescu9312 Ascolta La Voce/Know is meant to be improvised by the singer. They're technically the same song, but Know is the version with lyrics, while Ascolta La Voce is the improvised version.
@melbrod38684 жыл бұрын
@@youlleatamuffinandlikeit4596 THX for the info. I always figured it was a bit of both--probably because if I try to completely improvise to music I end up with some really weird harmonies and discords, so I have to plan ahead a little. But of course, we ARE talking about Dimash.

Thanks for the reaction. If you react to Dimash singing Love of Tired Swans then please do the New Wave version and watch until the end with subtitles..... there's a treat. Fun fact: Jessie J saw this performance, I assume she was going after him and not only said that he was amazing but told him so. She had no idea who she was meeting ( or maybe she did, idk).

Great reaction as usual. Wonderful to hear that your friend is improving. Today I listen to an opera singer react to Dimash and she said a voice like his can perfectly be considered addictive. He should come with a warning!! 🤣🤣. You may like him singing a Queen medley with the super vocal boys as a guest on the Singer 2018. Also the song he made as a soundtrack for an Italian sci fi movie that has a metal rockish style may be a good option for further reactions. Thanks and till Friday!

That heartbeat effect isn't Dimash's, it's from The Singer program. The reason you feel like you've heard it so much is because he was a contestant. Here he'd just returned as a guest, though.
