Unfortunately Dreamcatcher's chances of a first win are being thwarted once again because most music shows are cancelled until 8/7 due to the Olympics. 😟 By the time the shows are back on, Dreamcatcher will be going up against many big artists (August is very busy) and their scoring chances won't be as high due to it being a week+ since release. They did perform on M Countdown a day early yesterday, and fans were expecting to be able to start voting, but Mnet didn't open the pre-vote as planned, so many speculate the show will be unexpectedly canceled next week. I believe that would've been their best shot at a win. 😟

It’s not about Insomnias being too ‘lax in “getting them the win”… it’s about not having enough Korean fans. Korean digitals are the biggest category in scoring, and we’ve never had significant numbers. That’s the biggest why they haven’t gotten the win.

Korean insomnia actually pretty relax and other fandom says dreamcatcher has the most chill fandom among idol group. The main problem that insomnias have is why music shows become so suspicious when Dreamcatcher comeback. From the cahnge rules and the score they got. Honestly, Dreamcatcher has a decend number of korean fans for winning music show at least once.

actually, this music video is supposed to reference a lot from the movie "US", if you pay attention to the beginning where Jiu and GaHyeon do the same movements mirroring each other and then gaHyeon goes and grabs Jiu's head, pretty sick, and I love the aesthetic of the abandoned amusement park gives it that sinister feel with the music box piano sound, anyways love the reaction❤, and hopefully, dreamcatcher will get a win 😁

And it also fits the meaning. As long as I know, Beethoven wrote Für Elise for a student he fell in love with, but she rejected him. Since she couldn't play the piano very well, he wrote a simple melody, but after the rejection, he started making it more complicated. Meanwhile BEcause is about obcessive love: the lyrics are about a person who killed their lover in order to stay together forever.

Well, well, well. Hi there! Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a Korean written character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that. The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "You turn blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. If you want to find a connection to the Dystopia trilogy, you could say that this might be a criticism of overly obsessive fans, who turn to malicious comments and other bad things, but I am not sure about that. In any case, Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.
