Massimo Ranieri is THE singer, an actor (movies, theater), and a performer. He dances in his show, too. We he debuted he was almost a child. And ha was sooo cute. His way of singing was considered rivolutionary. He was called "the screamer" as Rita Pavone too. He began as a chiudere, singing in restaurants in his Napoli. In the early seventies he was huge in Italy, Spain, japan and in most latin american countries. In The mid 70s he became very popular in France. He's a very well known singer and artist in Italy. His "fame" dates back to the early 70’s if not the late 60’s. I've read that he sold more than 15 millions records in his career. Ant this in spite of the fact that he stopped his career as a singer and started another career as a theater actor at the beginning of the 80's. He came back to singing in the late 80's with this song and, if I'm not wrong, he won Sanremo in 1988 with this song.
