YES!!! on that one, Nina takes over beatboxing and Cora sings... I think Cora was in charge of choreography on it too... There are some effects, but also a bass drop.... it's amazing. So is Seniorita!!

Hey! Just wanted to put my perspective out there on the "overly sexual" read you got. To me, everything these girls do is super empowering. They're owning their bodies and singing a mash up of girl group songs. If you watch more of their stuff, you might start to see it this way too. I understand that a woman wearing short shorts and moving her body in a certain way can be seen as trying to be sexual, but a lot of that is just how some women like dress and move when they're feeling themselves and having a good time. I'd be way more likely to dress and move like them if I was about to go to a girl's night than if I wanted to meet someone. Just my perspective!

That’s what i was thinking too but couldn’t put words on it! When i was showing this video of CQ to males friends they all thought they were trying to be sexual but when i showed it to women friends they all thought it was just fun. Interesting... 🤔

I've been listening to Citizen queen for a little while. Jase I really get what you mean by overtly sexual, however, as a total evolution for girl groups I think their costuming was a throwback to what "girl Groups" have worn in the past . Anyway you are right on point with these girls can sang.

This is quite literally the best all girl A Cappella group I've ever heard!!! They have the lowest bass notes of any girl group, and that's what makes an A Cappella group great. The bass notes ground the group, and fill out the sound, and provide resolution to the chords. It's probably the most important part in a 4 part harmony group, or like Pentatonix/Home Free, and now Citizen Queen 5-part groups with a beatboxer.

For Citizen Queen: to hear Cora’s Voice "Bad Guy" is a good one. Kaylah and Nina "Good Enough", to hear them all however, listen to "No more tears to cry", they are all amazing and powerfull singers

They opened for Ptx on their 2019 tour & they were amazing live! I would have paid for a ticket to go see just them, but what a treat to see Ptx & CQ on the same night! I would LOVE to hear them collab at some point in the future! The tiny little beatboxer, Cora, is a powerhouse!!! So fun to watch them perform. I don't think they are overly sexual, just up there having fun. But I'm not a man so I guess I see it differently. Thanks for doing this one Jace! I missed this live, but better late than never I guess! XO

Just five (5) days after being selected from the auditions, CQ recorded "Never Enough". kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHPXlYWmjJ6nmc0 It's a testament to their individual talents and ability to come together in such a short time (not to mention Ben and Ahmed's coaching). Ben's fingerprints are all over the group. Nina and Kaylah were members of the SoCal Vocals at USC and Ben's a coach there. Kaedi and Cora attended the Acapella Academy session which had terminated just prior to the auditions for CQ, and Ben is a co-founder (along with Avi) and Ahmed is a coach. I don't remember where they found Cora (beatbox) or Kaedi (sp?). The tall dark girl in pants Kayla, and Nina, brunette in short jumper, were students at USC and members of the acapella group that won the 2018 ICCA's. Kayla sang lead in their first song for the ICCA set. Hannah was on either the voice or AGT. Not only one their producer, Ben Bram, another USC alum, was the "friend" who was the driving force telling Scott to form PTX. He probably had something to do witj finding Avi for PTX, as he was very connected with the acapella community, especially in California. Avi's acapella group from junior college is the only junior college towing the ICCA's, i think that was in 2010. They are also responsible for AcaPop kids. Its like seven degrees of Kevin Bacon.

The same team, Scott, Ben and Ahmed also formed Acapop Kids. They've got a pool of about 25 kids to pick and choose depending on the song and who's available. When one of the member turns 16 they are "retired". I love everything they've done but I especially love their mashup "Bohemian Rhapsody & Somebody to Love" apart from the excellent singing, the video work is spectacular. They were founded by scott hoying and ben Bram and they also made a acapella group of kids which has 30+ members. This is a great video, but it's an early one for them, and a TON of dancing, so the lipsynching wasn't optimal, ESPECIALLY for Cora, the Beatboxer. Who's a great Beatboxer, you just can't really tell it from this video. CQ has one advantage. Cora taught another girl in the group, Nina, how to Beatbox, so if she ever wants to sing, she's got coverage.

Thank you for pointing out the overly sexual stuff... i mean, im all for women doing whatever the sh*t they want and all, but compared to for wxample the boy bands medley by voiceplay it kinda saddens me that they just seemed to have sexy mode and ultrasexy mode here. Why is it ok for the guys to be goofy, funny, heartwarming, sexy, serious, playful, and for tze gals its basically only "thrust your hips and get down girl"....
