I enjoyed how the legend slapped your face with their talents. The pink hair girl is Hyoyeon (THE dancing queen) from SNSD (Girls' Generation) and the silver hair girl with power vocal skills is Taeyeon from SNSD too (she is the ultimate vocalist in Kpop). BoA the queen of Kpop, the most successful idol from 1st gen. The girl with the silver top. The other girl who got amazing high note is Wendy, another powerhouse vocalist from Red Velvet and Seulgi, the girl with ponytails, she is also a great vocalist and amazing dancer, from Red Velvet too. With a lineup stacked with nothing but aces, those high notes were to be expected. The real genius of this song is how well all those unique voices flowed together! - Can't wait for your Aespa reactions. Karina and Winter from Aespa were in this GOT lineup and were probably the most underutilised (which, them being rookies and the rest of the lineup being legends, is kinda to be expected). The girl with a pink haired is Hyoyeon (also known as DJ Hyo), the main dancer and main rapper of Girls' Generation. The silver haired is Taeyeon, the main vocalist and leader of Girls' Generation. It's SM- their bridges always feel like a different song- I think that's why their music always sounds fresh even when it's experimental. Also!! Since you liked this so much can I recommend u Monster by Irene and Seulgi of Red Velvet? Seulgi is in this GOT group - main vocal & main dancer, & Irene is the leader of Red Velvet. I would argue that Monster is their darkest song (tho actually even their bright songs are really dark 😅) but it's music style is more similar to this than any of their other songs as a group. One thing you should know about SM Entertainment, they're the master of VOCAL Other thing : Kangta and BoA are SM soloists. TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, Shinee, f(x), EXO, RedVelvet, NCT, aespa are their groups. Got (Girls on Top) is a project group were 4 generations of kpop are mixed in one group. 1st gen: Boa, the second one who sang she also start the bridge and the dance break. She’s a soloist: Queen of Kpop 2nd gen: Taeyeon (main vocal) gray hair and Hyoyeon (main rapper and main dancer), pink hair. They’re in a group called “girls generation” or “SNSD”: National girls group 3rd gen: Seulgi (main dancer), pigtail and Wendy (main vocal), short hair in all black. They’re in a group called “Red Velvet”: Queen of b-sides, Summer queen 4th gen: Karina (main dancer), straight black hair who start the song and Winter, (main vocal) short black hair with a red top. The pink hair is Hyoyeon, is a member of Girls' Generation, and the other chica, the recogido is BoA, which is a soloist and the mayor of the group. It is curious why the largest and smallest of the group in this case Winter, are of completely different generations, whereas BoA is from 1986 and Winter from 2001. I can't speak very much on it, as I'm just not that skilled - but in regards to camera movement, KPop can do some crazy stuff with their cameras haha. Just wait until you check out aespa's first song "Black Mamba". Kpop just has fantastic music videos in general. Theory time, and I wonder what you think(as soon as I can afford it, I'm supporting you on Patreon; you will be the first person I do that for! I just love your reactions!!! And you're the first to really interact with me in a legit way. Being laid up with two blown discs makes that mean a lot): a lot of people remark on how the music in the background makes them feel unsettled and is kind of dark. And the song is a woman, by design, making another woman feel small and uncomfortable for hitting on, touching and having feelings for "her" man; he's apparently sick and tired of the "silly girl" every day. Given this, wouldn't a producer then use not only the words, but the music, to aid in getting that across? Especially since quite a few of us don't speak Korean, but adore k-pop. We would get that uncomfortable feeling right off the bat. Then going and looking up the lyrics, if one was wont to analyze feelings and lyrics, you'd connect the two. Even if you weren't, I think deep down, it would make sense, no? I'm an English major though so I always look up the translations after falling in love with, and learning(so I can sing along, because I took chorus and loved to sing before and after) the Korean language original first(and taught for 5 years and had my students analyze lyrics to songs because they are really poems set to music when you think about it,) and I took band and was in marching band. So I may be a bit more obsessed with the why of the music composition than most. Ok, I AM. I'm a dork. But I wear that name tag proudly, 🤣

There are definitely a few different vibes with the instrumental of this song, some aspects show dominance as in trying to tell the other girl to "f off" from her man, the bridge has a "seductive" nature to it with the warm vocals and tone. But the unsettling sounds you talk about definitely feel almost "scratchy" in a way, it almost sounds like they manipulated some sound design from Hitchcock's "Psycho", especially the shower scene soundtrack. It's definitely cool to look back at the song and see how many details were put into the audio mix so that even if you don't speak the language to understand the lyrics, you still feel those things on a subconscious level. Since I already commented on Patreon, I would like to point out some other songs coming out this week if you are interested in checking them out. New group Kep1er (from the show Girl Planet 999) released their debut song "Wa Da Da". Any group from an MNET surival show is going to be big, and they are certainly no exception. It is a fun song. WJSN Chocome (One of the WJSN subunits) is coming back with another song on the 5th called "Super Yuppers". Based on their previous song and the teasers, I can tell you it is pretty different than what most current K-Pop songs sound like, and I'm not actually sure if you will like it or not, but I know it will probably easily be one of my favorites of 2022.
