This is thr first number from the first concert Lovebites played after a two year hiatus. During the those two years the bassist and founder left, two members got married and had babies and they held extensive auditions for a new bassist. The bassist they chose, Fami, was a twenty (now twenty-one) year old university student, on average 13-15 years younger than the other band members. Fzmi had never been a member of a professional band befiore and in her own words had never played live in frint of an audience of any size. So her performance in this video is not only her first time playing live in public with Lovebites but also her first time playing in front of a large crowd of people. You would never have guessed it from her performance, you would have thought that she had been doing it for years. So confident and so highly skilled at such a young age. Checkout Judgement Day live and Sand and Deliver live for this same concert.

This song is one of their earliest works and appears on their first full-length album, AWAKENING FROM ABYSS (October 2017). In fact, when LOVEBITES was formed, dark-haired guitarist Mi-Ya was a support guitarist, and two months before this album was released, it was announced that she changed her name to Miyako and became an official band member. And it is said that when these two guitarists arrange new songs, they deliberately put in phrases that seem unplayable and repeat the training until they can play them perfectly.So, the guitar technique of these two guitarists will continue to evolve.

In the fall of 2021, the original bassist (and one of the founding members of the band) left. They spent a year auditioning and searching for a new bassist before picking this one. A couple of the members (the singer and the dark haired guitarist) also had babies during that time. They are all in their early thirties except for Fami, the new bassist. She's only 21. This was the first song of the first concert after a 2 year hiatus. It was also Fami's first concert with them. You could tell how much they enjoyed being back on stage again. Fami's smile was so wonderful. It was like she couldn't believe how lucky she was to be there. Her parents were also in the crowd. She was was a very proud little girl. The former bassist was also very, very good, but I personally think that Fami has a bigger skill set. Plus it seems like she gave the band a new energy. One last thing... you mentioned the drummer, Haruna; she is only 4'-9" tall, but she's an absolute beast. They normally put on a 2 hour concert, so I really cannot understand how she has the stamina to keep up this pace for 2 hours straight.
@Amiekinz4ever8 ай бұрын
That's crazy. 😊😊😊
@SomethingToDo3608 ай бұрын
“I really cannot understand how she has the stamina” Haruna’s stamina probably comes from different factors: 1. Her much smaller body size. A 6 foot man would likely burn more energy doing the same stuff. 2. Her extremely efficient movements. They would require less energy than being overly animated. 3. Her natural gift and training. Obviously helps.
@herbpoints8 ай бұрын
She mentioned that she tries not to get too absorbed in the songs. Getting too immersed can make her exert unnecessary effort and tire quickly. So, she focuses on humming along to the lyrics and enjoying the drumming. Watching live videos, you can indeed see her singing while playing. Actually, she's not fluent in English, so it seems she plays more by feeling the pronunciation of the English words rather than understanding the lyrics. I believe the reason they can perform 'Hammer of Wrath' with smiles on their faces (except for the cool Miyako, of course) is because they enjoy the sound of the English pronunciation, not the meaning of the lyrics. ✨🥰🤘

You're such a cool rockin' lady... Please keep your guitars🙇😆 awesome reaction! I wasn't in that concert, but I went to their tour finale a few months later... as a fan, that was my peregrination to Metal Mecca. Their music was mind-blowing, but what moved me the most was how sweet and connected they are with the audience. None of that rockstar boundary. It feels like your five daughters wanted to play and sing for you😭🤘 if they had played a Metal version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star I'd have cried of joy the same way, too much pride and happiness for this aging metalhead... But they played what I believe the best modern Metal repertoire in Japan. Just incredible 🤯 I'm going to see them again next September. And again and again. All I ask for is good sound quality. Some people say that they came to planet Earth in order to save metal. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just 7 years. For a different side of them I recommend “Edge of the world” or “A frozen serenade” (live)

First live show after hiatus (due to the COVID19 pandemic and the quitting of their former bass player and fouder Miho - who is now with "Chaos Control"), with their *new bass player Fami* , all of them glad because of their return on stage, and (as you say) full of confidence. 😊 4:42 Yes, Fami plays amazing indeed. Just watch her song cover videos here on KZbin, and *you will go nuts* . She is a *genius* on the bass guitar - and a stroke of luck for Lovebites (and us, of course). 10:09 Well observed. As an aside, check out the 2020 version of this, the opener for the encore, that has the Awakening build up. I think I like it better, but there are things to like about both. Not a reaction suggestion unless you want, as you have already reacted to Hammer of Wrath from the 2023 show. Just a suggestion if you are interested in comparing the two. Note, the 2020 version has the original bassist Miho. kzbin.info/www/bejne/paWti4OLeNysha8 For one that I do recommend as a reaction, how about the opener to this show, Thunder Vengeance kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4ioaIOneNV6n5Y or a real banger of a thrash song Break the Wall kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4HGYYuBZdGBo7c I recommend both of these, but anything you choose from Lovebites will be awesome. They're amazing. Also, that's Fami (the bassist) and her first show with the band and her first live performance on this scale. I think she smiled like that for two days straight, since this was the first song of the first night she played with them, and if you check out We the United (the unofficial Lovebites and Wolfpack anthem!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5-xqamdga6SiMk which is the last song of the last night, she is still smiling like that lol.

Haha, another great reaction. Some have already mentioned - this was the first full concert back after a 2 year hiatus, during which they lost one of the founding members - original bassist Miho left and the band, after soul-searching for a while started a global search for a new bassist that would 'fit'. They found the young lady you see here - Fami - who at the time was 20 years old, was mostly an internet-sensation bassist (with over 600K subscribers and one video in particular with over 10 million views). Fami is perfect for the band - immensely talented and a smile to die for. The track here was the opener of the FIRST full concert with Fami and first concert after the COVID shutdown. You can see how much Fami and the rest of the band are having fun here. But to blow your mind a little more try the track "Burden Of Time" (live from the Awakening From The Abyss, which was a live studio session during COVID). I'm not going to say WHY you should watch this, but when you do, you will understand 😀 See here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoCll5J9o52YnNUsi=0I2fQbNlpVkfyOJD 🤘🎸🐺

This is the opening of their first concert after going on hiatus due to the Covid thing and Miho leaving the band. It is the first time on stage with the band for new bassist Fami, and you can tell from her ear to ear grin she is having the time of her life. 😄 I found Lovebites about 3 years ago through a friends recommendation, and have become a huge fan. I am fast approaching 75 and so remember the start of the rock/metal scene with bands such as Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zep. I have seen many great rock/metal bands down the years, and what I like about Lovebites is that they bring together influences from so many of the past greats such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest to name but two with their own style and technical expertise. I regard them as one of the best I have ever heard. I have a ticket for the gig they are playing in London next June and am as excited to be going to see them as I was for any of the past greats. If you didn’t pause it would be a viewing, not a reaction. There’s boring pauses and lively pauses. You do lively pauses. I love your reactions because it’s obvious you know your subject, it’s obvious you’re impressed and it’s obvious you enjoy listening to the ladies. I said it yesterday, I tend to say it on one reaction channel or another most days…there has never been a band this good until now. For those who struggle with that, it’s based on *everything* about LOVEBITES, not just the music. Their positive lyrics Their obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm on stage Their fun personalities and chemistry, both onstage and off Their virtuosity Their 100% record of 56 songs with no album filler Their crowd interaction, especially vocalist Asami Bassist Fami’s permanent smile Drummer Haruna’s phenomenal yet effortlessly efficient drumming, in particular her double kick and cymbal work Their melodies Their guitar harmonies Their genuine love and affection for each other and for us, the fans. Some other bands may have had more obvious and prolonged success Some other bands might have had some of the above qualities. But *NO BAND* has ever had them *ALL* So that makes them the best band I personally have ever seen and heard. Talking of seen and heard, I’m in that crowd, and when Asami puts her left hand on her knee and fills the shot….i was literally behind the camera man, so I had the same view. 🙂

LOL - You're about the 5th guitarist I've seen who said they'd "quit" after watching a LOVEBITES solo, and a few of them were professional musicians. However, I think you're the first I've seen get rid of your guitars during the reaction.

Back to this video just to say that if you can, there is still time to catch them live on the US leg of their world tour. Atlanta is sold out. Dallas is close to if not sold out. Los Angeles is sold out to the point where they booked a bigger venue, and that may even be sold out, but there still are tickets available for San Francisco! If you can make it, make it! We want that venue sold out so they come back again!

I don’t know mind the pausing, you give very good commentary. Lovebites has some ballad music (the E songs) but I like the harder stuff so my suggestions would be MDO, Break the Wall and Raise Some Hell. They also have a lot of kick ass deep tracks from their Live DVDs.

I think it's a positive thing to pause the reaction on KZbin. However, with LOVEBITES's songs, I worry that something may be lost due to "too many pauses." It has to do with the characteristics of LOVEBITES music. I think many metal/rock bands play with a lot of emphasis on the beat. However, I feel that LOVBITES places more emphasis on the perfection of the melody than the beat. Their songs are characterized by a flow that moves from one melody line to the next, and then to the next. I think the beauty of that "transition" is one of the great elements of LOVEBITES' music. The more pauses you make, the more likely the song will stop at this "transition" part. As a result, I'm worried that the particularly delicious parts of LOVEBITES will not be appreciated. ---------- from Nippon *This is a text using Google Translate. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.

I'm not worried about that. It's a first time reaction, there is no way to catch everything on a first time reaction. When I listen to the songs again after the reaction, I'll catch those little intricacies. Much love ❤️

I think you're fine with the pauses. I've watched many reactors and you're not even close to the highest. The cardinal sin is pausing during a solo and you don't do that. There are a few who will listen to a song all the way through and make notes, then go back and play it again, pausing where they've noticed particular things but I think that would detract from your instinctive reactions. It's a sub from me.

Keep on pausing please, I subbed because of your comments and your enthousiasm! 👍👍I like your reactions about Lovebites, the way you give comments like "their playing now a third" or something like that tells me that you're a good listener and know what you're talking about. Better that then some other reactors that only say at the end that it's a great band and nothing more because they don't now anything about music. You can't go wrong with Lovebites so just go the whole rabbithole, they play all kinds of metal but always with musicianship and musicality. Thank you for paying attention to LOVEBITES. I apologize, but those people who wrote to you about pauses were not thinking about themselves. They were thinking about you. LOVEBITES fans have watched (listened to) these songs many, many, many times. Fans know these songs by heart. And they only want you to feel the songs of LOVEBITES as much as possible when you react to them for the first time. Personally, I did not write comments under your reactions, but I understand why viewers wrote to you about the fact that you pause very often. I'll try to explain. 😊 If you pause 10-15 times while watching a 6-minute song, then you haven't actually "heard" the song. You "heard" parts of the song! A song is not a series that is watched in parts (episodes). A song is a complete work, from the first to the last notes (sounds). And it’s better to listen to it completely for the first time. In addition to pauses, you talk a lot while the song is playing, often looking somewhere to the side. At this time, many nuances (sound - arrangements; what happens on stage when you are not looking at the screen) pass you by. If you didn't pauses, didn't talk while the song was playing, didn't take your eyes off the screen, then the song would make a stronger impression on you. Personally, I couldn’t watch your two previous reactions to LOVEBITES to the end. 🤭 This is your channel and you can do everything as you want. You don’t have to pay attention to my opinion and the opinions of other viewers. Nothing personal. This is just my outside view of your reactions. P.S. Sorry for the comparisons, but taking a lot of pauses while reacting (to a new song) is about the same as taking a lot of pauses while having sex. 🤗

I think it actually depends on the reactor. A reactor who plays the guitar or other instruments, or one who is more interested in their instrumental capabilities, likely derives more pleasure watching and commenting on these instrumental parts, rather than on the feeling of a song in its entirety. I think too, that those are the reactors who end up liking Lovebites the most, rather than the ones who cannot tell the difference. “taking a lot of pauses while reacting (to a new song) is about the same as taking a lot of pauses while having sex.” For certain reactors, those instrumental parts along with their joyful responses, is the sex itself.

@@SomethingToDo360 The vast majority of Reactors only listen to (watch) a song from any band once, when they check out that song on their channel. The second time Reactors, as a rule, never return to this song. Because Reactors have many offers to check other songs, other bands. If the Reactor took a lot of pauses while checking a song, then only fragments of the song (not the entire song itself) remain in his memory. This is how the human brain works. There is a good saying: “You can’t make a first impression twice.” This also applies to songs. These fragments will be forgotten after a while, because there will be new reactions to new bands (and new songs). Especially if Reactor checks 2-3 or more songs every day. I did not write my comment for the purpose of criticism. My goal was to give advice based on my experience and knowledge. If, of course, the Reactor wants to use it.

@@GrayFox14 I understood your point the first time. My post was simply meant to explain why it doesn’t apply to this particular kind of reactor, one who by the way, agreed with my post as well. It was just meant to share my perspective on it, so I don’t mean anything bad by it.
