She sang this song as a suprise song and the Fans did the duet with her. She sang "you never gave a warning sign" and the Fans sang "I gave so many signs" and then taylor joined in it sounded so beautiful

Same! I liked her before but wasn’t a real fan until folklore/evermore. I finally saw her lyrical talent and gained an appreciation for her former albums as well.

Yeah this is why so many people are doing TS reaction videos - there is high demand, so they get views & followers. But your account is very genuine, many are not.

I think the trick with any good KZbin channel is doing it for yourself first. I'd do it even if I got 0 views, because it's fun to do and because I want to do it. The second you try to do it for fame, money or similar, the content suffers ☺️ at least, that's what's motivated me with both my channels. Passion to do it for the sake of doing it and my own creative outlet

Bon Iver wrote and performed Skinny Love made popular by Birdy. His name is Justin Vernon and Bon Ivar is a french phrase meaning good winter. I LOVE this colab with Taylor, its a heartbreaking song! Edited to add I'm SO enjoying your transformation to a Swiftie!! Dont stop!

I remember exact place I was the first time I ever heard exile. It came on a recommended song on Spotify during a bad day at work. I listened to it on repeat. It’s what got me really hooked on folklore when it came out.

Folklore and Evermore were made and released within months of each other in 2020 Taylor made them bc she was bored & felt creative 😂❤ Also, Justin Vernon’s (Bon Iver) always sounds that good. It’s not the mask. 😄👍❤️ Pls react to the song evermore! The album itself is amazing.

Usually I don't like Taylor's collaborations and I prefer her albums to be solos but their voices harmonize so beautifully I became addicted. They also have other songs together, the alcott is one of my favorites.

same here. as a lifelong metalhead who has been a swiftie since her first album i love seeing others like me find the beauty in her music. one of the best moments i’ve had lately was at Download Festival walking back from seeing Metallica night one and participating in a Taylor Swift singalong with thousands of metalheads 😍 if Adam from freakin Lorna Shore can admit he listens to her, i don’t wanna hear any nonsense from anyone else in the community. i was pretty surprised, actually, to find out how many other hardcore metal fans love both her and ed sheeran 😃

Taylor features on a couple tracks (listen to Renegade !!), on the Big Red Machine album "How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last? " Bon Iver (borrowed from the French, bon hiver (good winter) -- bc he's from Wisconsin, which borders Canada; a joke on bon jour, or bon voyage, or bon soir). The name is a musical project (and touring band) of Justin Vernon. In addition to Bon Iver, Vernon has also gotten some recognition/awards for a joint project with Aaron Dessner called Big Red Machine (don't confuse that with Taylor's old record label). Big Red Machine was in the process of a new record when the pandemic hit; it was put on hold. Then, Taylor contacted Aaron Dessner of The National, to ask if he'd do something with her, since all her shows had been cancelled. He sent her a huge amount of music at 9 PM; at 2 AM she sent back Cardigan. In 3 months, they wrote, produced, and released folklore. The live performance was filmed later, in September; it is still available on Disney+ (unlike the film of her concert in Paris). And, in December, they released a second album, Evermore; largely written while doing the filming. The album versions differ a great deal from this live version, because Taylor and Justin both like layers and layers of vocal harmonies; and Aaron's twin, Bryce, was roped in to do additional orchestral additions on the albums. There were a lot of guest musicians, who had no idea that they were working on a Taylor Swift album, because they were recording wherever; she included the names of the different studios in the album credits (much to the delight of the studio owners!) The Long Pond Studio Sessions film was directed, and produced by Taylor; Justin filmed his part during the day, in Eau Claire (his personal studio) while Taylor, Jack, and Aaron were staying at Aaron's place in upstate New York. What is in the video was filmed at night, so obviously not synced live. So, however many takes it took, they could take time to hit it right (but both are very good anyway, so it probably wasn't too much effort to lay one over the other). She dropped in on one of his live shows later, and they did it with his band. People were really hoping he'd be a guest on her tour, but hasn't happened (yet).

If you liked Taylor and Bon Iver (his real name is Justin Vernon) in this song you may like the song evermore. It’s the last song on the standard version of the album evermore. Justin usually sings in his higher register and not in this baritone, most people were very pleasantly surprised to hear the change, but in evermore he uses his usual tone which as I said is much higher, but it’s just as beautiful a song.

If you're enjoying the Folklore tracks, maybe you should try sitting down and watching all of the Long Pond Studio Sessions in one go? There are interviews between the songs where you can get to know her and her songwriting process a little bit, or at least what she was going for with some of the tracks. I think it's really enjoyable to watch. Originally, I didn't like "exile" all that much; I usually prefer her solo songs, and Bon Iver is the one who wrote the bridge in this collaboration, which meant it didn't have that hook-between-the-ribs feeling a lot of her bridges give me. Still, it grew on me after rewatching Long Pond enough times, haha. It says you have 1k subscribers now, so congrats!! I think we're all enjoying your videos a ton. I'm always excited to see you've posted.

I just subscribed! Love your reaction videos and how you are doing this for and with your wife! I grew up listening to Taylor swift since I was 8, (I’m 22 now) I love her albums and she really doesn’t care all that much about the money. She LOVES writing songs, her fans, and she just loves to perform. I would recommend reacting to”Christmas Tree Farm” because it shows clips of her growing up just like any other little kid.

What hurts me about this song is that I adore his deep register, but when I went to check out his other music, it's almost all the higher, airier vocals. Still beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I would love more of the deeper vocals. I want more of this, really, but it seems incredibly difficult to find.

You need to hear these songs on the actual album… you are missing some of the subtleties that make some of the lyrics more powerful. In this song, Justin actual wrote the bridge!
