From one concrete pro to another I just wanna say everything you do is on point bro, love the channel, if half the people who watch your videos realized how many years of blood , sweat and tears it takes to get to this level they would love your videos even more than they do!! As far as this video goes , it is just amazing dude, great end result! Just a quick comment, took my crew through the elite-Crete course a few years back and I’ve gotta say, great product and it’s nice to have someone to answer questions if you have them but there are definitely systems out there that are 100% comparable for a better price point, just an opinion I thought I’d share after having a few years of the epoxy flooring added to our arsenal... Outstanding work though man!

Great looking floor. What would you have to do if you wanted this type of floor, same colors but not that reflective? Is there a way to matte the finish? Looking to do some high traffic areas in my bar, but am worried about all the foot prints, dust, etc. Also, can you add a little grit to something like this for anti-slip? Bar floors tend to get wet and am also worried about the slip and fall factor. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
@cptophers46264 жыл бұрын
are there any fumes/vapors during installation? seems like that finish would show every speck of dirt. i would like to see the tutorial, especially if it were for a garage floor.

Not with this epoxy, it's very low VOC. Barely any smell at all.

Building a vacation home right now and this is almost exactly what we want to do with the one difference is we want to put little subtle barely noticeable turquoise streaks. Is it possible to combine colors like that? Btw looks great!

Are there non slip additives that can be added on the top coat? I'm assuming if there was, the top coat probably wouldn't be glossy. Also if the customer have floor heating, does that affect the durability of the coating?
@MikeDayConcrete4 жыл бұрын
Yes, there's non-slip additives we can add and it will matte the surface look. This floor had radiant heat in it. It doesn't affect the coating.

@@MikeDayConcrete, I own a manufacturing plant and a few years back had some seams where slabs joined from added additions. I had a guy do some painting and said he could repair / smooth the cracks. All I remember is he used a two part product that got warm when mixed. It is somewhat self leveling and can be spread to a feather thin thickness. It dries to a somewhat milky color / semitransparent but it is very durable. I would love to know what it is, he would never disclose the product and kept it in unmarked cans. He is no longer in business and I would love to know what the product was I have some more repairs needed. It takes Fork Truck traffic and is carts with ease. You can not stick a pocket knife into it, pretty hard. ANY IDEAS?

Hi Mike, thanks for your concrete videos and this. I learned a lot from you. I have stamped concrete patio and has a crack, i filled with concrete filler (liquid hardens a few hours later) it is grey and my patio was red tone as you can imagine it is ugly. And crack is not completely filled. What do I do? And one more, can I do this epoxy flooring after I fix my spalling (I saw your video :) or just ground floor and do epoxy. My spallings are not that deep or harsh but3 to 5mm or so(3/16" or so) thanks.
@MikeDayConcrete4 жыл бұрын
I would have used a product called "Magic Crack Filler" to fill in the cracks in your stamped concrete. logicalresource.net/product/magic-crack-filler/ You could buy some red coloring powder to mix with it to help hide the repair. amzn.to/3eSv0NU You'll have to remove the liquid repair you already installed to do this properly. You will want to fix any spalling before you do an epoxy coating. It'll come out a lot better.

It may not be for everyone, but it looks fantastic to me. Lotta work and I’m sure it ain’t cheap, but the finish product, with a few rugs here and there, is spectacular. If the underlying concrete develops a crack, will it project thru the epoxy? Or does the epoxy stay plastic enough not to crack as well?
@MikeDayConcrete4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Having a crack mirror through would depend on the severity of the crack. A hairline probably wouldn't be seen.

Outstanding! Incredibly labor intensive! You & your crew are very talented and the end product reflects your skill. Would love feedback on maintenance? Do you need to wax the floor to preserve it?
