let's hope they somehow do an even better set on the second night as i'm seeing them in Paris 2nd night and disappointed that the first night is hogging the pick of the crop of the back catalogue of classics.Glad that the worst 2 songs on the new album Sleep walking and Screaming Suicide have been confined to the first night but Orion/Fade to black/Master of Puppets and For Whom the Bells Toll all on the first night??Come on what's that all about?

Rob's singing voice improved overtime! my jaw dropped when he started singing/screaming the "Wrath of Man" part, and it's in tune! Amazing!!!

@@2jsalomon there's edits/different takes/overdubs frequently in this performance, look at James' left hand at 5:45 and how it suddenly goes to the top of the neck in the next shot, and someone on the original video's comments even said that james' guitar apparently changes tuning entirely between certain shots, as he plays different frets/strings to play the same note. rob fails to lip sync his line properly at some points. i may be wrong on this one, but james' mouth looks a bit odd to me when he says "polarize" at 6:21, like his mouth is too open for the sharp "ieeze" sound he's making, i've seen james sing that vowel a lot and he usually tightens his mouth for those kinds of vowels. another potential edit is 5:30? james' mouth and position away from the mic seems a bit off at the end of that line. of course Lars' double bass is absolutely perfectly on time and at full volume, so go wild with speculation on how edited that may be. rob's voice sounds almost just like james, but also has that rob flavor in it,, but it's so quiet that it's hard to hear exactly. obviously this is a live performance, but edited and touched up in post. we'll have to see how it sounds live in front of an audience

Ill admit this is not my favorite song on the album. However, this live version does sound amazing, much better than the recorded version. The guitar is way heavier this version for sure. Great content as always. And yeah that Lars WILL be Lars lol.

Different take: One thing I like about this mix is that Kirk's solo isn't so loud like the album mix is. Here, you can actually hear what James and the other guys are playing much more clearly. The volume of Kirk's solos on the album is just 1 or 2 db too much over the other guys.

Okay hear me out, why does the middle section, the fast riff, with the lyrics on top of it, sound like the middle section of My Apocalypse with the riff on top of it? You know, the "crushing metal, ripping skin" part. I mean maybe it's because there's power chords and a tail in both riffs.
