My favourite would be the Live Shit : Binge and Purge. In my opinion it sounds how Metallica should sound on their albums. And they were at their peak and on top of the world.

We are all free to disagree, but to put friggin' ST. ANGER over the Black Album, Hardwired and 72 Seasons is a damn joke. The whole album is TOO LONG, the songs all bite, there's no solos from Kirk at all, Bob Rock is playing the effing bass because they had pissed off Jason Newstead so badly, James is singing like his balls are tied with hot barbed wires, and Lars is banging like a short bus kid on his two tin cans. Put down the pipe. PLEASE. 🤡

If you haven't heard, there's a fixed up remixed fan-version of Death Magnetic which is an improvement, but since they didnt have the original tapes, they could not fix it entierly, but it's loads better. Im so used to that one, I sometimes forget how bad the original mix really was.

thats was an awesome list i would change the last 2 and flipflop them i do think master of puppets is the best metallica but i do agree with how high you have st anger , that album is so hated on for some reason and i like how the drums sound every song dont need to have crazy ass drums with 4 or 5 percussions and double base all the time

Honestly I'd put Lulu above basically everything post-black album lol. I think the problem with it is mostly the production. If it was produced like a Harvey Milk album people would cut it a lot more slack
