Metallica - Almost Full Show - Tulsa OK - January 18, 2019

My first Metallica show. It was awesome. I recorded all songs but not the full length to save battery. My phone died right at the end. Ignore my annoying voice but I was singing my heart out cause these guys are my heroes.

125 row k. Even way up there, it was amazing. I couldn't believe we could feel the heat off of the flames way up there too! You could also see a ton of smoke (LOTS of weed in our section) all over the arena

It was a good show, with a few complaints - 1.) Tickets seemed oversold (specifically floor). People paid good money for those tickets and we were packed in like sardines. 2.) Drums were a bit loud drowning vocals a bit (I realize the band focuses heavily around Lar’s drums) 3.) A good majority of the set was Hardwired, would have been a little nicer to split the set up a bit more for fans new and old. All in all, good show. I will say I really liked their “middle” stage set up better than the traditional having the stage on one end of the venue.

Much better concert than 2008. Hetfield had laryngitis or something back then. I didn't like The Unforgiven this time. I went for the older songs, (wish they would have played Motorbreath, Last Caress, and some others)

Jim was funny. he made the opening act a good laughter. I enjoyed the hell out of it. He got the crowd engaged. It wasn't a typical comedy show. He made jokes about Lars, Metallica, Ozzie, taking his wife to dinner with the band, and pointed out the young bucks in the crowd
