@@iamtheresurrection7221 I saw a video a year ago or so of them playing a small club. Someone was in the front row recording James and they slowed it down so you could see each pick. The strings were bouncing so hard, he somehow puts all of his force into very precise picking. It’s truly insane.

Battery, it's the energy of their show, they feed the crowd energy which feeds the band. The band and the fans are the positive and negative of the battery, they cannot exist without each other, family.

Metallica live especially in the early days played their stuff even faster than original, the studio version is a tad slower and resembles the piano you heard a bit more melody-wise (It's still batshit crazy don't get me wrong, that's what Metallica got known for, Trash Metal). Also Seattle 1989 is probably the best concert they did, basically peak Metallica right before they got mainstream peak metallica, and I feel like the energy shows that ..
