💛I’m 51 and have been listening to Metallica since about 1985 I think. it was a long time ago lol. I’ve also raised 2 Metallica fans- like they had a choice right! This is an underrated album and I think it’s because a lot of the songs have a same sound but they are all good. Welcome to the Metallica family man! These guys are amazing and still killing it in the studio and on stage. Took my two boys (17 and 23 at the time) to their first Metallica concert along with my 4 nephews and niece! Let me tell you it was my greatest mom moment ever!

First time I saw Metallica was before their first album was recorded in March 1983...in a small club on Broadway in San Francisco. Dave was still on guitar and I later learned it was Cliff's first or second show with the band. But I haven't bought any Metallica albums since their 'Metallica/Black' album. You might have enjoyed the lyrics to this one...because it speaks to relative stuff of today.

Ok I have watched your MetallicA, PanterA, MegadetH, and many other reactions. The frayed ends of sanity reaction was 🤘😝🤘 and this one has been great. Really all the MetallicA reactions have been 💥. I've been a MetallicA fan since I was 6 yrs old. I was the only kid in grade school that wore MetallicA shirts (I had to hear the disagreement from my mom for it,but I was allowed) I was told so many times that MetallicA sucked, MetallicA isnt that good,or Poison was better🤨 Poison? Really! Now 36 yrs later, I have converted some of my former classmates into MetallicA fans. Even former teachers ,especially my music teacher never respected metal as a genre, or even considered to be of talent perceived. Now alot of music teachers use MetallicA and some metal bands as a teaching guide to their lessons. I know alot of people, especially the hard core, die hards, and will listen to nothing else. But what I love about MetallicA is the fact they did change, they ventured out to no mans land and came out the other side a bit more polished, and a bit more unique. I love the bluesy riffs of the Black album, Load and Reload. My first love came from the thrashy, speed, destructive, and angry aggresive sound of their beginnings. But as time wore on, they started changing, and It kept me intrigued. Yes the latter years with albums such as St Anger, and collabs with Lou Reed (Lulu) have pushed alot of fans away. But go look now at what people think of those albums. They are slowly gaining some respect in a sense. St Anger is dirty AF, Lulu should've been just an instramental album. (Sorry Lou) But I love everything they do. MetallicA is one of the few bands that have done yhe things they've done. And I totally respect that.

14 yrs old. Only had enough money for 1 tape at the record store. It was either Run-DMC or And Justice for All. Metallica won that one. Soon to come was a ratty Jean jacket with Metallica, Sepultura, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Ozzy patches all over. And the title of outcast. Still better the those MC Hammer pants.
