Dan Mak His playing on And Justice for All is nowhere near amateur. The fact that he's not playing 5 minutes continuous double bass does not mean that he sucks. He and James were the ones that brought metal to the mainstream. He may not be great but his contribution to songwriting fills up the gap for the lack of technical abilities

+FanOfDaGamma absolutely agree & yea he is gonna kill "Dyer's Eve" I have never seen any1 cover it including Lars.. & I'm a huge Lars fan but on thr Justice album.. that was multiple takes mixed to get the end product and live (which is rare) he cheats and can't blame him either.. it's lightening fast damn near the entire song but I know Josh can definitely pull it off & he's doing it strictly for us, his fan's, cause of all the request! He is a BEAST no doubt about it!!

I love the triplet double bass pattern you did at the solo, Lars drumming in that part always irked me because he wasn't playing with the guitar. Love that double bass run right after too!

I actually think that not doing the triplet pattern was good songwriting from Lars. One of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of modern metal bands is that they add a bass drum hit to like every guitar note.
