+multiestonian I try not to fall onto the lars sucks bandwagon, but he's a pretty mediocre performer and drummer. And Justice For All is a really great album in terms of his drumming, but listen to him here. His double bass is alright but the little double bass thing he does before cymbal hits is so clunky. He also fucks up on really simple things which can be really taxing on the other members considering the drummer is supposed to be the foundation and keep the tempo
@xxxgames44588 жыл бұрын
+Gopa if u watch lars live today he is not that good.. he has zero drum fillers besides a snare roll legit.. he has the skill now of a 16 year old drummer he his very plain and boring for a band that is rock n roll hall of fame material.. how hes still in the band amazes me

Lars is a bad drummer. He WAS good, not great, but he was solid for what his job was. His arranging capabilities are really amazing though, and he has a good ear for music. But now, he kinda sucks at the whole drumming thing. I know it's hard to admit, but honestly just watch him play live anytime after, eh, 2003 ish. He overplays, uses the same fills, has no sense of time anymore, and is just lazy behind the kit. But damn he was (and still is) amazing at creating songs. Some people HATE him for his laziness, but I am just more indifferent towards him. I liked his drumming from 1985-2000, after that it just falls off. I don't hate him for it, I just wish he gave a shit about it.
