They should be tracking those guitars as clean DI tracks, then they can re-amp to whatever amp/sound they want and blend later. I'm sure they're running the latest Pro Tools, with at least 512 tracks if not more. If not, they need to upgrade : )

Truth!!!! Give me tubes/analog all day, everyday!!!!
@mattvera43106 жыл бұрын
sbrave is not talking about using virtual amplifiers, he/she is talking about capturing the clean signal from the guitar and then sending that performance to a real amp of their choice and capturing the sound again with a microphone.

@robindreier97968 жыл бұрын
Jude Misura I wouldn't say they don't fall under that, cause they do, but for some reason some videos are more prone to be deleted...like..not exclusively for Metallica but for other bands to. The album version gets deleted instantly and the live versions remain online for years. that copyright detection thing KZbin has is weird anyway.

Wow. Just finished watching. Is this considered normal? Seems to me they're putting waaaaaay too much thought into each song. They're literally squeezing every last drop of ideas they have. If a song isn't coming naturally then maybe it shouldn't be happening? Do bands really write songs like this? I'm actually really curious now. There is more talk than there is riffing. There's more dialogue, debate, waiting, thinking, anything, everything, than there is creating. Anyway, very informative. Thx

Spending all this time picking the right guitar, only to have it all sound the same in the end anyway. Metallica's demos sound better than their (new) releases. These guys need to get a Finnish producer or someone who actually cares and has nothing to do with America.

@fireamracing Metallica aint a thrash band. they have diffrent kind of genres. And thats comment is just stupid, go hang at megadeth videos instead. i prefer metallica over megadeth and i like megadeth to but ppl need to stop screwing around on metallica vids and typing stupid comments. And what JayT851 speaks the truth! Megadeths fans starting shit about metallica and say they suck. Metallica started the subgenre, other bands countined. a pop band? haha omg.

I've listened to it a couple times and I reckon the song is still a bit of a mess. The riffs don't gel together very well.
