They did this audience harmony in Melbourne a few years back and the crowd killed it on that one
@CarimboHanky3 жыл бұрын
they did the audience harmony in 2012 when they were playing the black album in full, in my opinion the one at rock in rio was the best, followed by the melbourne.

My god Lars played this so much better compared to 2012. He clearly put in the time for this performance compared to when he was just jamming along to it a decade ago

Pace is much much much slower compared to 2012. But 2012 was still one of the best times I’d seen them. They were on fire at Donington.
@hmico4573 жыл бұрын
I don't agree. Out of the all songs the chorus in this is the place where Lars decides to not use his china symbal, sounded better in 2012 IMO. It sounds lazy when he goes with hi-hat instead.
@paradigmshiftz73 жыл бұрын
@@hmico457 I disagree, it sounds weird with the china. He could've added more snare fills like he did in 2012 (or really like he always does lol) but playing on the hi hats sounded better imo
@jd08793 жыл бұрын
@@hmico457 I completely disagree, it is much tighter with just the hi hat. The china makes it muddy which is one of his biggest complaints. And you can tell you was just jamming along in 2012 since he kept playing his usual go to fills, this time he played this almost identical to the studio version especially with the tempo. Even his fills for the last solo at 7:12 are almost note for note like the studio compared to 2012 where he’s just winging it.

@@hmico457 Um... what the fuck?? Him overusing that shitty china is one of everyones MAJOR complaints, and was a big sign of laziness. He plays SO much better than he did in 2012 here its genuinely unreal. Not even comparable. In 2012, he was nowhere near the actual studio version, and completely off tempo. Here, he respects the original studio version (again, another common complaint) and keeps great time, and plays the fills quite nicely. You seriously must be fucking deaf or something...

You guys who got to go are lucky. I was asked to go, so I went and got my covid test and everything, and then the person who asked me to go simply vanished. He didn't even say he was sorry. I missed a once in a lifetime concert because of him. I'm so mad.

One of Jason Newstead's songs. A very symbolic performance after his departure from Metallica. How much has Burton done? Former bassists left Metallica good luggage.
