The music is to match the emotion the guitar is the pain the drums & bass are his heart the voice is his mind screaming for god to end it all.

No it was world War 2 movie made called Johnny get your gun. He goes off to War and gets blown up by a landmine that leaves him in a vegetive state. His arms and legs are gone and he can't see or hear but the doctors saved him anyway. So he's basically living in his own personal hell. If you listen to the video you'll see that the doctors start second guessing weather they should have brought him back and instead just let him die.

Metallica started out in the late 70's early 80's. Basically right after Led Zeppelin broke up due to John Bonham dying.

There is no need to say late 70s. They released their first album in the middle of 1983 and they started in 81 i think

You should have watched the official video. This story was written after WW1 and published just before WW2. It was a message to all generations after.

How can you not know this song, it is older than both of you. Eddy lost his arms, legs, voice, and hearing to the war as a conscripted soldier.

Be respectful. People like you are why people avoid metal, We are NOT assholes like this guy!

@@joelvalencia6738 And people being delicate little dolls is we are all looked at as bunch of panzies. I am sure they can handle that little bit and pee their britches and run hom to mommy! They can't I will unfollow and stop watching their videos simple as that. I have a 17 year old nephew that both take and deal out much harsher verbal treatment than the little statement I made.

Right first things first it is blasphemous to compare Metallica to blink-182 second thing it is blasphemous you’re not watching the original video to go with this song it would make a lot more sense to you watch the original video
