I understand where you are coming from, but on the flip side of the coin, Biden has been lining his pockets as well and doing bad things to the economy. And he continues to finance the Ukrainian government instead of helping the people of that country. We must look at both sides of the issue as well. I do respect your opinion. The guitar solo for this song was all Kirk Hammett. James and Kirk harmonize on the guitars a lot as you have heard on this song as well as "Blackened". James did the first guitar solo on "Master of Puppets", the second guitar solo on "To Live is To Die" and the guitar solo for "Nothing Else Matters" from The Black Album. There's also a 1979 movie called "...And Justice For All" which stars Al Pacino that very well could have inspired this song. In the movie, Pacino plays a lawyer who realizes that the justice system is full of corruption and favoritism.

This song has a universal message about politics that transcends any era, party, or demographic. It doesn't speak about any specific politician, but the system as a whole. It's corrupt, people with power live by their own rules, people with money can tip the system to their favor, those running the show dictate and rely on the apathy and/or compliance of the people to do whatever they please.

On the tour for this album, the 1989 Damaged Justice tour, they had a statue of Doris (Lady Justice with no arms, blindfolded) on stage. During this song, they blew up the statue piece by piece. It was just pyro going off in between the sections while people pulled on ropes to shake the statue and break away each part at specific parts of the song, towards the end. It looked amazing and was probably one of the best uses of a prop I’ve ever seen. The statue was there for the entire set and then they destroy it as their last song, before doing encores. At the same time they “blow up” a lighting fixture that then swings down pretty low over their heads and swings back and forth as the lights kinda flicker and swirl. Combine that with the insane pyro show to the war sounds at the beginning of “One”, and in my opinion it’s the best stage show they’ve ever put on. The pyro for “One” is so insane that they aren’t even allowed on the stage while it’s going, because they do “machine gun fire” up the steps and such using pyro. Even after seeing them 15+ times and meeting them in 2009, that 1989 show remains my favorite.

MetallicA IS timeless!!! And you still got alot of amazing lyrics, solos, and riffs. Yeah don't pay attention to the "No Bass" "Justice For Jason" crew. Jason Newsted said he is happy with the way the album sounds, and its perfect the way it is. Whether or not Jason deserves bass on that album. We have to leave it be cause it will always stay just like it is. Anyway! This album is my favorite when it comes to James Hetfield's voice, his aggressive tone, what I call the real way to spit the truth, metal style lol. Kirk's solos are some of the best also. And btw, James has a few solos, but mostly it's Kirk. James uses his playing as an instrument, like another drum, but with the chunk of the guitar. He does have the most lethal right hand in metal. That's a fact haters!!!

I miss Jason 💕 and Cliff❤️‍🔥 I love Robert, but man, nobody sang backup vocals like Jason! I miss Cliffs badass bass playing. He was a Beast💯🎸🎼❤️ I think there's timeless songs from each album. Heres a few, Master of Puppets, Fade to Black, Blackened, For Whom the Bell Tolls, One, Disposable Heros, Nothing Else Matters, Battery, Enter Sandman, Sad But True, Orion, To live is to Die and many many more from later albums as well. It's hard to choose, really. As far as solos, almost all but a handful are Kirk, except a few James has said meant a lot to him, so he'll play 1st solo, then Kirk will do second part solo. James has said many times that Kirk's better and that he loves riffs and harmony. He wrote all lyrics, riffs, and harmonies. You can see Howard Stern interviews or metalhead interviews. You must do the 89 live Seattle concert!! One of the best concerts of younger Metallica! But I just watched December's 2022 concert. It's just Amazing these guys at 60 yrs old are still killing it!! I've been fortunate to see them 8x!! I'm going this year, and I can't wait!! 🎼❤️🤘💥❤️‍🔥🎸🎼

Kirk generally does most of the solos, James mostly plays rhythm but has a few solos, like the more melodic one in Master of Puppets. James doesn't really shred as much either, so if a solo is a bit less chaotic and has more melody to it then it's _probably_ James, but definitely not always. As far as I can tell, he generally only has like one solo per album, but is an absolutely killer rhythm guitar player.

Best track off this album for me has to be Shortest Straw. I consider this album to be the end of their 'honeymoon' period.

most metal bands have 2 guitarists in metallicas case Kirk is the lead guitarist meaning he does the majority of the solos James is the rhythm guitarist but he does solos but not as much he also does the clean guitar sounds like for fade to black and one whenever you hear a guitar solo thats harmonized its both James and Kirk Master Of Puppets is a good example the middle of the song where he screams Master and it repeats and gets slower the clean part that starts is james then both do the harmony solo then kirk does the faster solo...watch the live version of And Justice For All from the Live Shit Binge & Purge concert they have a cool stage setup with Lady Justice and as the song carries on she starts to break and crumble

I love how Jane has issues with head bopping... This album will initially catch you off guard with the switches and transitions.. Second listen will have you head banging on queue!!

The lyrics and title were inspired by and borrowed from the Al Pacino movie, "And Justice for All". James did this a lot. His lyrics for Creeping Death were inspired by the movie, "The Ten Commandments". One was inspired by "Johnny Got His Gun". And Justice was inspired by "And Justice for All". For Whom was inspired by "For Whom the Bell Tolls". By the way, the movie is famous for the scene where Pacino yells at the judge, "You're outta order! This whole damn court's outta order!"

Initially not the most appealing/accessible song on the album, but as the dust settles, it's the track with the greatest longevity. Which is why I like it as the title track.

Crazy you say it’s not the most appealing because the transition from undistorted to distorted is what hooked me from the first listen

I learned to play that song by tabs , in the tabs James played no lead . Live he does play a little , but mostly leaves it to Kirk...

I highly suggest watching the live version in 1989 in Seattle of this song because it will blow your mind and they just play it so much faster and you can just see the pure anger. It’s amazing if I were you and wanted to watch any Metallica concert I would choose the 1989 Seattle concert.

Crap! Okay, I'm subscribing. I really envy you, you have so many masterpieces among similar music ahead... Do you know what is the funniest thing? The fact that 90 percent of the reactors who listened to everything in a row, both pop and rap, eventually get hooked on metal)))

Jamez as he likes to spell it is one of the finest guitar riff and rythm guitarists on record. He sounds more classic and accurate, while Kirk the Hamsters style is kinda Jimmy Hendrix but using a cry-baby wha wha pedal, that the guys used to hide around the rec=studio to tease him, and whammy bar. I was lucky enough to see them once on this album tour and more, it truly was an awesome gig with 6 encores!!!
