Hi andriy, I have a program that simply suggest a7-d9-g9; d0-g4; a0-d4. The rest of the work does only the distortion with particular settings and some compressor effects, the result sounds really similar to the original. So maybe it’s not as complicated as we think \m/

What do you think about this masterpiece? I mean, after all, is beautiful. Maybe I'm not the only one who think this, but I'm pretty sure Cliff wrote something endless, where words don't have enough power for have more meaning than the music itself. Now I'm looking too mielous, so I cut off. Long live Cliff, wherever he may roam, maybe near Orion' stars.

I just got an awesome idea: why don't you play the whole harmonies part guitars play ON BASS instead, with distortion and so on? I would love so much to see that. What do you think? I came up with this because I read it was Cliff's original idea for the song (Lars had a different mind thereof, he wanted the whole band to be part of it), so basically we'd have had another distorted bass solo-centered instrumental.

Andriy, I want to ask you if you have any tips or way you know is effective to one of the things where perhaps I´ve always got a problem: memorizing a bassline in a "standalone" way..to say...be capable of playing irt, especially long and complex ones as this is, full lenght and on bass alone, when you´ve already nailed to acceptably play it, either looking at the tab, or playing it over the track by ear....taking the next step, and only remembering it without that "external" help (GPro or , a backing track or so...)( Hope I´m clear on the point) Is one thing I want to improve..and still don´t get it! Is is too difficult, or just for me? I think maybe is the fact I listen and play diffrerent styles of music..(mostly Metal-Prog or Funkl) and lots of music is on my head everyday...XD But normally I am focusing on one style..I´m objective on this though... If you can help me or make a video on this point and it serves more friends , too..it will help a lot... But take your time, not an urgent fact , if you´re busy this days...=)
@AndriyVasylenko8 жыл бұрын
Most of mt bass covers (especially Total Cliff) I learned and played for video in the same day. Yeah, I listened to them a lot of times before, maybe that made easier to memorize the bass lines. I don't know... Maybe I played a lot of songs with various complexity, and that helped too. Anyway, the best way to learn something is a direct one - doing EXACTLY that.
@flavy10008 жыл бұрын
Yeah...int the end...that may be all about it...so it´s not too different than what I used to do ...I ´m always searching for some other ideas...in case I was wrong..=) I Play Rush and Dream Theater´s songs...but I always seem to forget parts if I don´t do them ALWAYS...so yes, doing EXACTLY what you need to...! Tha´s a good point..and I thnk for life issues it applies too..=) Thanks a lot my friend , you+re always there with a clear idea...so grateful wiith you!
