Cliffton Lee Burton , Master of Bass . Miss him since he past the way in this tragical Bus Accident . I was 17 and a big Fan since they started , it was one of my sadest day in Life that time . Kirk Hammet took place on cliff's Seat in the Bus that day , Cliff said ' it's my seat , take an another man ' , ... Kirk did and the rest is history . The Driver fall to sleep while driving , the Bus came off the Road fall over to the side where cliff was sitting ; this was nearly the End of Mettalica but after while they came back stronger than ever . Orion was epic Bass playing by Cliff. Cliff has given all his knowledge about Harmonies and how to create a Sound like this , to this young loud wild Boys and they keep Him alive in every song they made .

I have Metallica's albums up to their fourth, called...And Justice For All. It's actually in my CD player in my truck right now. When they came out with the album "Metallica" (also known as The Black Album) in 1991, the only song I liked on it was "Wherever I May Roam", so I didn't buy it. And I got beyond sick of "Enter Sandman". Weird that one of their most popular album's is when I stopped buying their music. I really hated the change they made. It was too "mainstream", too radio friendly. I missed the grit, the the long instrumentals you could just vibe to, the sound of Metallica disappeared and while I still listen to their first four albums; "Kill'em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, and ...And Justice for All, I haven't listened to one new song by them since their self-titled album came out. I just lost all interest in hearing what they were up to, because I knew I'd likely be disappointed. "Master of Puppets" was released in 1986. I was 13. I heard it at a dude's house I'd met at 7-11 on a lunch break from my Summer Vo-Tech "career connection" classes. He was 15 and asked if I had any papers. I said, sure do. He asked if I wanted to smoke a joint, and I said sure do. I did ask if there were other people at his house before I consented to enter, and he assured me that his sister and her friend were home and he'd call even more people if it made me comfortable. LOL He was a nice dude and lived about two blocks away, so we walked. He put on Master of Puppets while I rolled one. I never saw him again after our smoke. I stayed long enough to listen to the whole album and bought it immediately. Here's some interesting info from Wikipedia: ~"Master of Puppets" consists of several riffs with odd meters and a cleanly picked middle section with melodic solo. The song shares a similar structure with "The Four Horsemen" (another I'd recommend) from the band's first album: two verse-chorus sets lead to a lengthy interlude to another verse-chorus set. The opening and pre-verse sections feature fast downstroked chromatic riffing at around 220 beats per minute in mostly 4/4 time. Every fourth bar of each verse and the outro is cut short by more than a beat; the time signature of these bars is often inaccurately analyzed as being 5/8 but it is closer to 21/32. A lengthy interlude follows the second chorus, beginning with a clean, arpeggiated section over which Hetfield contributes a melodic solo; the riffing becomes distorted and progressively more heavy and and Hammett provides a more virtuosic solo before the song eventually returns to the main verse. The song closes with a fade-out of sinister laughter. The lyrical theme is cocaine addiction.~ I would also suggest reacting to "Seek & Destroy", "For Whom the Bell Tolls", and two of my favorite Metallica songs, "The Shortest Straw" and "The Frayed Ends of Sanity". You could even try "Wherever I May Roam". It's pretty good, but not as good as the previous songs mentioned. I used to be very passionate about this band, but when an artist or band start sounding like sell outs, it's hard to care much about them anymore. Sure! Bands change. People come and go, bringing new and fresh ideas, but I'm not the only fan that feels this way about how they went about it. You loose what made you special and you'll loose fans that listen because you're special, unique, intriguing. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading my ramblings. I'm an excellent typist and long posts aren't an issue for me when I've got a keyboard. LOL It's that screen typing I can't do!
