What is it about James that makes everything he says sound so cool? His voice or his style or his relaxed attitude? He is like Morgan Freeman, he can say whatever and it will sound deep and meaningful.

"the guy"? It's fucking Marky Ramone. Or are you talking about someone else, I haven't watched the video yet lol
@Ado12716 жыл бұрын
Elijah De Luna At first this "guy" is legendary Mark Ramone! Second thing is that he said:" You're on the top now he's on the bottom" which probably means that James is sleeping on top of that bed which I really don't know how it's named and Lars is sleeping on bottom on this big bed. Because if you heard what James said before this moment than you can clearly understand about what was Marky talking.

"we don't want to be a legacy act, relying on the back catalog". That's funny because that's the path Marky chose. After the Ramones broke up, Marky had a band called the Intruders that made 2 albums of originals, one of which was produced by Lars from Rancid. They were a good late 90's punk act IMO. Then he had another band called the Speedkings. These days he's in the Blitzkrieg that just play Ramones hits... they used to have Michael Graves (former Misfits) and they did one or two originals, but Mark has basically decided to only play Ramones songs. My take is that it's for financial reasons. He can basically hire session musicians and not pay anyone very much, and get the maximum turnout for the gigs.

What made you want to do another album is a great question. The extended time between albums with bands is exposing a sad lack of passion for creation. And when you put out an album every 6-8-10 years....you have to live up to the time. Was it worth that wait?
