Oh yes, this tour is burned into my memories forever... before that I saw them once before on their tour, which was the largest on a club tour, at the Volkshaus in Zurich in front of about 1500 people! And then came the Black Album and the 91-93 Stadion world tour and something like that you never forget to have been live on this epic tour for the rest of your life.... for me it was 4 concerts in Europe and especially the very last one in Basel 1993 of their world tour, which lasted 3 years for the boys and they gave everything they had in the tank of energy because their families and friends were there for the end of this first world stadium tour!!!

I saw them in 87 at Monsters Of Rock in Germany. Deep Purple was the headliner. GREAT concert. Cinderella, Ratt, Dio, Metallica and Deep Purple. I was in the Army, our battalion got a bus for all the soldiers that wanted to go. Our German bus driver got lost leaving the concert and went the wrong way on the Autobahn. Everybody was passed out, I saw a road sign and knew we were helluva long way wrong direction! I woke up a couple of buddies and we convinced the driver to turn around!

I saw Metallica starting on Ride the Lightning in 84 then Master of Puppets in 86 before Cliff passed then And Justice for All with Jason on bass! I wished I would have seen Kill em All!

While I've heard the song countless times, I probably haven't seen that official music video since MTV, around 30 years ago. Caption were hilariously inaccurate. I got to be a pretty big Metallica fan in the 90's, but by the end of the decade, I made a conscious decision to seek out more metal, and moved on. I am known to sing along with the old songs in the car, of course.

Seen them live 10 times now, shows 11 and 12 next year too. They only seem to have gotten better each time and im excited each time like it's my first time seeing them. Best to date was Madrid last year

I've seen them 4x between the late 80's and early 90's when they were so raw and climbing. The first time they were the 2nd of 7 bands. It wasn't long before they were closing shows. And the wild thing was, their popularity in the beginning was all demo tapes and word of mouth. IncredibIe story of how they became famous without ever being on MTV or radio until One I think. Then Enter Sandman IIRC. But they were selling out shows before that. It was amazing.

Ok, I'll be the boomer and warn her...I honestly don't begrudge Metallica the black album, Bob Rock, all of it...but if anyone dare claim that they haven't milked out a forty year career off their first five albums and touring nonstop, they are lying. James tried so hard to be a contrarian, to do the opposite, he slowly disintegrated as a songwriter. They are still outstanding live, but they haven't written a decent tune in thirty years...
