This song is fucking excellent! /end ... well almost. This album was a strong return for Metallica, but the drums are way too high in the mix. When the drums overpower the chugging in union, so you don't hear the chug over the snare / bass, then the drums are too loud. Lars always had an ego problem but this is ridiculous. I'd like to hear a mix where the guitars are louder. But again there is a problem there in that this album is compressed sonically to the max, which means that it is mixed above the limits of the allowed frequency in most audio-formats, which means that it is digitally distorted.
