Such a badass band. From image to sound, lyrics and attitude they were just hardcore. Even though I don't like the change that occurred in the 90s, they still have my respect for having the balls to try something different, unlike many of their contemporaries. Legendary band.
@nicolasvillamil75238 жыл бұрын
+Stefan Siljanoski I agree. There's too much unnecessary hate revolving around the band, because 90% of fans are just that.... fans. They can't understand from the musicians perspective of wanting to try new things and experiment, that's a big portion of the fun when you're making music.

Many comments on Metallica vid's are about Lars's drumming. I don't agree. Think he is a pretty damn good drummer and very original (off beats and fills are unique and he started in the early 80's). Think he deserves some respect.

Yeah if you watch him live his fills are really out of place and as a guitar player i dont see how kirk and james really keep so tight together. He forgets his own parts. he doesnt even practice anymore. and hasnt for like 20 years. hes just not that good. hes only barely passes.

For a far greater and deeper understanding of what this magical album (and song) means, simply visit the third link on my 'Natures Magic' play - list. And boom !, there it is. The divine light of Rock N' Roll constantly told you the same thing through thousands of songs from countless bands. From Blind Guardians song titled ' Journey through the dark', to Queensryche's ' Road to Madness' , to Ozzy Osbourne's ' Shot in the dark, to Testament's song titled ' The Ritual' , to Neurosis song titled ' Origin' , to Iron Maidens ' The Red and the Black' ,, and on and on and on it goes through loads of fantastic bands, as Rock music was birthed from Psychedelic Entheogen plants in the 1960's, so of course Rock is totally loaded with infinite divine spiritual truths ;- )

I don't think I will ever see a concert as good as Metallica put on in Lubbock, TX 2004. For one time only due to converging tours they had Godsmack open for them. Pure, epic win when Sully got on stage with them for Sad But True and sang it as a duet with James. The only thing more epic that night was the 80 year old grandma in the row in front of me rocking out with her Ride the Lightening t-shirt.

@HerobrineGbriel6 жыл бұрын
I've been thinking about this album from a lyrical way and I've come to the conclusion that, as this album talks about death, insanity and hate that structure of "verse-chorus" really fits it well. When you have this kind of lyric structure you are emphasizing the information in wich the song is passing or must pass to you (in the case of this album: death, insanity or hate), so makes this message even stronger. In the case of this track we have "Old habits reappear/Fighting the fear of fear/Growing conspiracy/Everyone's after me/The frayed ends of sanity/Hear them calling/Hear them calling me", so the repetition of this part a few times makes it even more strong of how the person is losing it's sanity. I don't know if I made sense but I hope I did! Bye and thanks for reading!

When I was a young boy in the late 1970s the Earth was so beautiful and magical, just waiting to be explored. Then useless control - driven bible - toters tried to tell me it wasn't by trying to convince me the Earth is a very dark place and the only chance I had to get out was some guy that never existed to save me. I never listened to them. I saw how bible - toters were totally Miserable creatures full of Apathy via their needless and useless need of their Ego to ' Control' others. Years later in Ayahuasca ceremonies, Mother Aya showed me all the reasons why that is. "If it's not Shamanic, it's not Spiritually Organic." .. Period. Thank. You Mother Ayahuasca, infinite endless Gratitude !! Infinite Joy !! Nature is my church, and Rock N' Roll and Heavy Metal music (and a touch of psychedelic trance) is my religion ! : -)

Eye died loads of times in Ayahuasca ceremonies over the last 12 years. As Death is infinite Liberation and re-integration of the infinite 'Oneness' of Light, as All is One, as there is no such thing as death in true reality. So who is that useless and Narcissist control - driven Christ to claim Only 'he' can give eternal life ? That's not infinite freedom and divine love (light), that's control in the illusion of time ( dar - kness). Hence why bible - toters are BY FAR the biggest mass mur - der - ers in history, as nothing is dar - ker than christianity. Hence why bible - toters are Narc - issist control - driven war worshiping monsters that hate all life and humanity (as all they do in their useless existence is whip out threats and warnings to others in their complete self - hatred), and they hate the Earth/Nature (life), as they totally ha - te themselves. Truth !

So sorry you were incapable of listening to Metallicas song titled ' Disposable Heroes' . You useless servant, your blindman.. Or Black Sabbaths ' War Pigs' from 1971 how your completely brainwashed. Or Testaments ' Perilous Nation ' from 1986 how the US is a total L - I - E. Or Queensryche's song titled ' Revolution Calling' which basically staes the same thing, and thousands of songs and countless fantastic bands constantly told you that, yet you were never able to go deep within yourself to hear, completely blinded by the surface of images in your false ego - mind.
