Those who say all metal is just screaming should listen to this. I think this would be the perfect song to make someone understand metal. The lyrics are so intelligent and relevant. And each riff in the song is absolutely amazing, they are just so cool. It makes you think about all the work that went into this and the talent required. This song is art and is beautiful. The screaming metal vocalists do like Corey Taylor from Slipknot or Johnathan Davis from Korn also take a shit ton of effort and skill, it's just a different style. I didn't say anything to him until after the show, I was interested in what he was listening to so I asked. He put the headphones on my head and started this song. I was like "Holy shit! I always felt that this album, while not my favorite from them (Lightning is my favorite) has a certain hard, angry edge. These are their first recordings since Cliff died, and they may not have wanted to go into the studio so soon after except for contractual obligations. I could be wrong, but I think they were wrestling with how they felt and wondering if they should even go on as Metallica, and this confusion added to the overall feel of the album. Justice was certainly a heavier album, and (in my opinion) better than Puppets. My favorite Metallica albums, in order, are: 1) Lightning 2) Justice 3) Kill 'em All/Puppets/Garage Days(tie) Everything else that they recorded, I do not own or listen to as it is more rock than metal. Just my .02 cents.

I wouldn't say that the Death Magnetic and Hardwired albums are rock

I think is their best album technically speaking. It's so elaborated, clever and heavy. All at the same time.

Justice in my opinion is Metallica's best album. All of you can yell at me and keep saying that it's master of puppets, but that album doesn't even come close to giving off the feel that this album gives to me. This album is the one that has lyrics that get me thinking. This is the album that gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I've listened to it. In all honesty, I consider master to be overrated. The lack of any real bass on this album doesn't diminish the quality of any of the songs. If anything it improves it. It gives the album a much more raw and angry vibe that I absolutely love. The riffs and lyrics are much more original than the other albums in my opinion too. That's not to say that I don't think that the other albums are great too though. It might be because I love Iron Maiden, but this album has much more atmosphere and originality to it. I've never been the biggest fan of thrash metal, and have always been much more into power/symphonic metal. I think the same way with Judas Priest's Nostradamus album.
