Rob haters are insane. No other bassist in the world could live up to their "expectations", making me wonder if they would have preferred seeing Metallica disband after Cliff's death. Rob is the best thing that could have happened to Metallica after Jason. He has presence on stage, and skills. He just -fits- in.

I really feel that harmonic part your talking about is right at the part in the solo that was cut. Like a band-aid covering the cut. The part of the solo that is cut out is when it comes to a stop then takes off again. It's a memorable part. Hard to believe they don't remember it. Having said it's memorable i can see some people getting bummed out it's not there. Because it is cool the way it all stops and then takes off again! So like i said it seems on purpose>

That's what I'M saying too; it's rehearsed that way. DamageIncM thinks it's a mistake by kirk. therefore he thinks the performance is sloppy and unprofessional. My whole point to begin with is people are looking for any reason to say they should hang it up or something. Metallica is sounding good to me. Can't wait too see them in atlantic city this weekend!

yeah all the justice songs played on this tour and recorded by their sound guy for this video really did a good job to make sure the sound was more balanced rather than just really compressed like in the original album....also note that you can hear the bass lol ...man i wish they would remaster that album so we could hear jason a little more.

yeah theres some kid who made a recorded over the original track of the justice album the bass from the tablature and it sounded completely new it was really great plus the video game guitar hero or something released all the tracks seperately and some where on youtube theres a recording where they pump up the base it just sounds amazing....its something about the late 80's where sound engineers were turning down the base for some reason the same why they use autotune now a days.

Not really trying to argure KirkCliff. The point i was making was that some who play an instrument themselves over analze the performance and don't seem to just enjoy it. To DamageIncM it's a sloppy performance because the solo was played bad because of a missing part covered up with a repeated part. The whole band seemed to cut out that part. Not a mistake by kirk.I think despite these cuts in the song their performace of it is strong

They do something similar on the solo section of Blackened, where they cut part of the end of the solo, and I don't know if it is because it's different but it sounds bad as well. In this solo he seems to get confused and played the wrong part towards the end as well. But, even despite all these mishaps, and possible errors in re-shaping songs' structures (I dislike the altered final solo in Hit The Lights as well), it is amazing to be able to see them live!

I checked the album version and there is a part cut out of the solo by the hole band! It's not a mistake. The part that has the song come to a stop. Also after the solo the song goes right to the next versus instead of the chours again. It's on purpose not a mistake! Only mistake i heard for sure was james saying unending common place instead of defining common place! $#*! happens! Guess it's time they invest in some telepromters! Bet ozzy has got some used ones they can get cheap! lol

It's because he doesn't practice as much anymore. Just because you were able to play something before doesn't mean you always will be able to. Especailly with faster material. You have to practice all the time to be able to play fast and clean.

one of the biggest problems guitar players must face is when people expect their solos to be perfect renditions of what was played on an album. The way metallica fans idolize their first 4-5 albums it shows how worse they must have it in that regard. And picking them apart for a mistake! Do you people realize how many "music acts" perform to prerecorded music? I'll take mistakes becuase that means it"s for real!
