The big reason is because the crowd typically doesn’t give it that energetic response they usually like to see while playing, and also Lars just doesn’t have a ride cymbal anymore. This is why almost no Load or Reload songs get played

You have to admit that he is getting there, though. I think he's doing a helluva good job. When he first started, he hardly did any backup vocals, now he's right up there helping out James with the backup. He's got two HUGE shoes to fill...Cliff and Jason. I can see how he'd be intimidated and little hesitant for awhile...but he's coming around. Watch the audition video...you'll see that the guys definitely made the right choice with Robert, that's for sure. All the other potentials that tried out just stuck out like sore thumbs. Robert was the ONLY one out of ALL of them that could really keep up and knew the songs inside and out...he totally obliterated the audition.
