That's because it's the real vocalist. I've noticed a i sounds really good applied to the real person only to make them sound older or younger. I think it is because while as you age your voice changes you still mantain the basic nouncion and cadence in your voice making the voice sound basically right regardless of what era.

I too think 72 seasons should have used some variation of the classic logo ... That yellow space on top of the cradle seems like it was made for that, however I think it also should be different since this is an evolution from death magnetic and hardwired, so something should be different just to differentiate the albums a little.
