This is really The best way to teach guitar playing - split song to small units and repeat it. With clean sounds, no need for distortion sound from start. Marty really got this! 10+! This helped me a lot! :)

@Kurolchi well this guitar is an american made gibson sg. not an epiphone. I own the sg until I give it away. so: 1. I own a gibson 2. I like gibsons 3. some of my idols play or played gibsons 4. I'm giving the sg away to a lucky gibson fan yet to be determined 5. than I will buy another gibson for myself (or maybe they'll send me one :)

Hi Marty...I really, really love your guitar lessons dude! I just got back into playing again after 25year break. I appreciate how you break down the riffs and the camera angle you set up to show it. I have seen many other guys on here trying to teach songs and their camera is about 15 feet away and it is hard to see the proper fingerings. Please keep up the great work, it really helps!

@chrisdbfmv Try typical Thrash presets, max treble, 7/10 bass, 6/10 mids and gain at max, or treble 7,5, mids at 7-8, bass at 6 and gain at 8-9/10. Also, if you haven`t already, raise the pickups on your guitar to increase the force of the sound, you tighten the screws between the pickups. I`ve got standard ESP pickups and i only use the bridge pickup because the other is so muddy and powerless, in a way. Hope it helps, just friendly advice, don`t shot me if it doesn`t work.

U nailed the tone...its hard to do if u cant afford a Dual rectifier from Mesa...on a sg u could drag ur sack across the strings and it would sound fabulous...lol
