WWF wrestling, what with it being the "Attitude Era, was great to watch, whether it was D generation X pulling their hijinks on everybody, the Undertaker being at his sadistic best in 1998-1999, or, best of all, watching a certain bald-headed, foul-mouthed, beer-swilling wrestler (Stone Cold Steve Austin) giving Vince McMahon and his cronies a bad time at every turn! It’s been covered by everyone from Brian Adams to the violin version of the Kildares. Captain Phillips was in Cork & Carrie in 533 lol it’s a very old Irish folk song, The Highwaymen recorded it in 1962 6yrs before the Dubliners I think that’s the first electric guitar version but electric guitars had been popular for 10yrs before and it’s a very famous folk song so there is possibly an earlier recording?

Oh Lordy, I had forgotten until I read a few of the comments that this video was still getting airplay in the mid 90's. I remember on Compuserve's CB Simulator having a discussion about what this video was like. Some of the comments gave me flashbacks to 1995 and..... I'm just going to shut up before I age myself any further. edited to add: Back in 1995 Thin Lizzy's version was still being played on the air as a "classic from the 70's." I freely admit in 1995 I was only drug-free a year and was still drinking.
