I was lucky enough as a young reporter to interview Lars during the Justice tour. And spent the first three songs on stage getting the TV video I needed for the report. A roadie put me on the spot when he ran out in front of the crowd handed me a large plastic mug of beer. I toasted the crowd and drank it Metallica style.

I remember a friend playing Whiplash for me at school (thru headphones), & it blew my mind!! So I went out & bought the album. I came home & put it on with great anticipation, & heard THIS song 1st (obviously). I was certainly NOT disappointed!! It came thru my speakers & kicked my ass. Kill 'Em All is still my favorite Metallica album. I thought that it was really ballsy to put Cliffs' bass solo on their 1st album. That definitely impressed me as well. But to play this album the 1st time & hear this song 4The 1st time (14-15 yrs old, in my room) is a memory I'll never forget. All these years later, & "Hit The Lights" still sounds amazing & this live performance makes it sound even BETTER!! Amazing to think this took place only a few days ago. Time Flys but truly good music will ALWAYS be truly good music.
