Ahh Jess. I have to say you are AMAZING. You are so kind, supportive and always so positive. The world is a much better place with you in it. I always read the comments and respond but when I see yours I always smile and know you’re thinking of us. Losing Bertie has been one of the hardest things this year and probably to date. He was such a special dog and I hate the fact he’s gone and I can’t see him and go on adventures with him. Shaun and I loved him so much and he really was a kind natured dog. He was the best. We are not having anymore animals as it’s just too sad when they go. We’ve booked a vacation to the USA so visiting California in September - we needed something to look forward to. So sorry to hear about your dog birtie.😢 I know how hard it is to lose your pet, when I lost my Maltese I held her in my arms for hours and hours and would not put her in a box to take to the vet the next day and have her cremated , she was my best friend she never left my side, she knew when I felt bad , where I felt bad at, she would always lay wherever I hurt , she was the best dog I've ever had and I miss her so. So I feel your pain and my heart goes out to you and birtie. And this painting turned out stunning ! 😮😮😮😮❤❤

That’s awesome Sorry for the loss of your sweet pup. I tried a stencil before and the paint leaked underneath. I didn’t even think about using gel. Lol. I have 3 jars of gel. When I get depressed I stay in bed and sleep for days. I wake up and don’t even know what day it is…I’ll have to force myself to go into my paint room next time!!

Hey Cindy Lu - yeah gel will work really well and because it’s a less fluid consistency it shouldn’t bleed underneath. But if it does, that’s ok. Just touch it up with a brush once it’s dry. Next time you’re feeling low, go to your studio, pick out your most favourite Color’s and go for it. Don’t worry about the outcome just connect with your paints, feel the textures of the painting, listen to the sounds it makes when paint connects when the surface. No pressure on what you create just go with it.

@@MarkJRatcliffeArt thank you Mark. I need to do that. It’s like I can feel myself falling into a big black hole of sadness and mental anguish. That’s when I need to go paint. If I don’t do something about it when I first feel it coming on it just gets worse. My favorite sound ever while painting is to hear the paint fly off a canvas on the spinner!! Lol. Maybe even putting paint on the spinner and no canvas. It’s covered with a disposable shower cap do it won’t hurt!! I also find so much peace in mixing my colors. I have probably 200 2 ounce cups mixed for blooms. I’ll save my mixing for those dark days too. Thanks Mark. Thanks for responding!!
