This genre of music is so very rich and there are so many brilliant bands. And so many extraordinary female singers (how is that possible). Liv is astonishingly beautiful - vocally and physically. I experienced the psychedelic 60s, the Punk / Post Punk era, metal and the whole dance / rave scene of the late 70s/90s but I'm only just catching up as an old man, with music like this and makes me feel energised but a bit sad that it passed me by at the time and a lot of the bands I have grown to love through You Tube ceased to exist as I've seen them before I even knew they were there. I'll be saying the same (hopefully) in 20 years about kids who are still in primary school just now and bless them for that, but I hate being... - sorry, I've struggled to find a word but not sure I can put it into words. Oh well X

Bueno The Sins of day Beloved siempre se mantuvo en una línea mientras que Theatre Of Tragedy despues del Álbum ARose for dead cambio incluso en este álbum mostró lo que se venía con los 2 temas remix que hizo, pero sus primeros albumnes uffff el tema Cheerful Dirge por ejemplo que aún recuerdo las veces y en esa época el copyright me lo elimino jajaja En fin sería bueno escucharás más de la banda antes de compararla yo diría que las bandas de esas décadas tuvieron banda momento bueno por algo aún las seguimos escuchando saludos

Sarah Marrion maybe, providing female vocals on Paradise Lost's "Gothic" and "Shades of God" albums. She is certainly the "first" anyway, in the genre defined as "Gothic metal". "Theatre of Tragedy" are credited as the developers of the "beauty and the beast" vocal style heard here. Other bands had done it before them, but as a "one off". ToT was the first band to develop and incorporate it for "regular usage".

Damn right you were missing out. But better late than never. Their first 3 albums are the pillars of Gothic Metal pretty much, completely unique, no band has yet been able to completely replicate their sound and feeling they give you, shame they changed their sound afterwards to some industrial rock, ditching the female singer and the uniqueness...the early ToT however remains unconquered. Blackbriar, Tristania, The Sins of Thy Beloved and Draconian come close though...check those if you have not yet.

Eu já conheci a música na balada, mas não sabia que banda era, um amigo gravou a Venus em fita do rádio, depois fui ouvir em um boteco perto do finado Splash rock bar aqui no Tietê. Saudades, isso era 2001, outros tempos...
