Muna is still my favorite faction! This build tries to play a little lower to the ground to go a little wider with small anchored threats and use the Out of Faction rare CHARGE!! to pump up the numbers!

I am curious to see how the decision space in this game grows. It is pretty simple right now but that is to be expected from a new TCG. We also do not even have access to all of the cards from this set yet. pumped!

The more I play the more depth I find in decision trees. The reserve, hand, biomes, and support abilities make the play order very interesting game to game.

Fun looking deck. Muna is one of my favorite factions. Still some interesting decisions to be amde with the limited pool but cant wait to see how a larger card pool shakes things up.

Yes! It's not the most competitive version of the list for sure, but I'm just itching to explore different takes on decks so it was fun to try out - and still effective either way! I've seen some cards from the launch event in Paris that haven't made their way here - and I was wishing I had access to some of those when building this, too. It seems like there are lots of options and I can't wait for them to be added to the client!

You can try this instead, this has a really good winrate vs most of deck. Love the content! Looking to back the kickstarter, but I can sadly only afford the 2 starter deck package [no opening packs for me :( ] Do you have a recommendation on what 2 starter decks I should pick so my wife and I could have fun matches?

If I had to pick two, I might choose Muna and Yzmir (as seen in this vid!) because they have quite different playstyles, but both get to see a lot of cards and that opens up a lot of strategy options to keep each game interesting. But if there are any factions that call to you - nothing is just bad or too overpowered, so definitely pick the ones that excite you the most!

I have played a deck similar to this but it used the Monolith as well. You're already trying to go wide, so it fits right in.

Monolith would be an awesome fit! I might try that over Spindle (and drop Harvesters to common, who need things to line up to trigger). Great idea!

@@MaindeckGames Yeah I tried one or two Harvesters at rare but could never get them to trigger. I suspect they might be stronger with the full card pool, but right now the rare form doesn't feel worth it to me.

Yeah, agreed. I think I'd be inclined to play Rare harvesters with shifted Physical Training to guarantee it. I can see that in an Arjun build where you can also get value from the resupplied card to anchor down something bigger that you can also use Training on!

Cool Video, keep em coming 😃 I think the RNG in Lyra is sometimes too hard. The Hero Ability can loose you the game right away and the Trickster is often a 1/1/1 for 2 and that´s really bad. Other cards are better balanced in my opinion like the Croupier who is never really bad. I just think, RNG effects in card games should not be game breaking, neither in a good or bad way. What do you think?

Thanks for the thoughts! Lyra's other two heroes do not use the same RNG idea, so really I think Nevenka is for those who enjoy the experience of hitting big or losing it all. I've had some absolute landslide games with her too, but this was a great example of it going wrong for the opponent. I think it's OK to have this in as an option for the hero, while some of the maindeck cards are still random but avoid the "big loss" options. While half the time Trickster is a 1/1/1 for 2, which isn't good at all, she is much better out of reserve when she only costs 1 for potentially a 2/2/2. I'm a big fan of going second with Lyra, dropping common Trickster on the clear side, and then Turn 2 setting up Ouroboros with the 1 cost Trickster and Nevenka ability for a guaranteed 2/2/2 at minimum, but up to a 3/3/3 or anchored 2/2/2 to keep the momentum up and reduce the RNG going forward. Ultimately, I think it'll just come down to preference - I've had some people I taught glue onto the game BECAUSE of Nevenka, while others have simply said "I don't think I'd play that one" and I think that's a great place to be. Options for people who enjoy them!

You mentioned smth about Splinder and Dorothy Gale, that ExAltered allows this. What's that exactly? Dorothy Gale's ability reads "you may" so she doesn't have to use this ability, thus no need to pay 2 more extra. Right? However, there are some cards, which just say "target".

Yes, you are correct - nothing was done wrong at all, and I fumbled my words a bit! What I was trying to get at was that in a (casual) paper game, it would be pretty common for some generous opponents of players who didn't realize that Spindle affected Dorothy's ability to allow them to take back the play, but in ExAltered there's nothing that indicates the 2 extra would impact them before they play the Dorothy and become locked into their choice to play her, giving them only the options of bouncing their own character or passing on the ability. So that lack of hard info before casting caused them to play suboptimally to my advantage!

Not playing muna druid as rare is a big mistake, that is one of the best card in muna faction. The fact it nets body + 2 boost on your anchor plant, making it a must rare synergy. Meditation training is the weakest card, it doesn't do much since your deck revolves around plant ( anchor card) and you wont have 2 mana laying around to play it, rather you will play minion and buff card like Nurture. While better alternative is the 4 cost Parvati which can anchor herself and AT ANY COST, while it is expensive the fact it still nets a body is a big big plus. Also the bonsa echantment really doesn't do much and basically useless vs most of deck like Ordis. The echanment 3 cost buffing is the best on, not only it make all your anchor stronger(low stats), it also a great 1st or 3rd turn drop as well. Your deck are also not low cost, efficient enough to play charge like the token deck. The way you finish opp is by Anchor + dropping big stats like Yggdrasil 3 cost for such a huge 5/5/3 stats line near the end of mana.

Game 2 last turn. Does it a bug to have the both sides at the same status? Why do they act like Gigantic?

Not a bug! In a tiebreaker turn, both expeditions count towards your total stats in the tiebreaker arena, and Gigantic units apply their stats to both expeditions. So they are extra scary on the tiebreaker turn!

Only once was the Charge! better on the board than a common nurture and (depending how you count mana cost 2/3 vs 3/2) it was always worse than the rare nurture. Removal might change that second evaluation but I'm not sure one extra body with a counter makes up for the extra stat boost 🤷‍♂

Absolutely, not the greatest games unfortunately to set it up, and not enough of the card pool to totally justify it over nurture - but I wanted to try it either way. Exploration is fun!

@@MaindeckGames Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the exploration and the deck type 🙂 I was just left wondering if maybe the deck type was right but nurture would be better in the spot. If you could push to the board harder you might be able to even justify both 🤔

I think Muna going wide can be quite strong - it's the ideal way to play out against Yzmir and can help contend with Ordis more as well. Both might actually be justifiable in an Arjun deck where you have more anchoring to rely on. I'm just looking forward to seeing what other low drops we can get or ways to keep cards flowing in to make it work!
