Man the MC85 is a thing of beauty...honestly that cross section is just exquisite, should be the standard for all capital ship cross sections. As for the weaponry, well to me those weapons seem reasonable for *The Raddus*, NOT every MC85, the resistance is essentially on a shoe string budget so I could see them stripping it down for the sake of cost effectiveness. No way did the Mon Calamari design an incredibly robust and beautiful ship only to leave it pretty much toothless. Weaponry issues aside, I absolutely fell in love with this design when I first saw it, it's like a cheaper, mini version of a Viscount Star Defender.

The state of the Galaxy after the Galactic Civil War kinda reminds me of how in our own history you’d have 1 town caught in the middle of massive political upheaval but remains mostly untouched. You probably have entire systems where for 30 years it goes; we were a part of the republic, then we were separatist, then we got reconquered by the republic, the republic became the empire, and now it’s the new republic. I’d honestly be curious to see what the collective psyche of the galaxy would look like after that. Probably would be worse in legends after the Yuzhann Vong

The armament could be easily explained because the Resistance lacked the numbers to maintain such a huge ship. They didn't have enough gunners so many turbolasers were dismantled and their power and fuel were diverted to make the Raddus more efficient.

Im convinced that the armament of the raddus isn’t what it actually had during its peak. Let me elaborate. The mc 85 as we know (much like the mc line in general) favours shields over firepower, but in canon the new republic also seems to have a thing about weapons variety with their larger ships, with anything post mc 80 being fitted with dedicated point defence and missiles that can do damage long before the shields are down. That being said, I believe the weapons stats we see are incorrect. Based on the logic of the mon Cala capital ship design philosophy, combined with the sorry state of the resistance and the fact that the mc 85 “dawn of tranquility” was retired when the resistance acquired it: I believe the ship was already being stripped of most of its armament by the time they acquired the ship, and that its armaments are relatively proportional to its size like with the mc 80’s (while almost isd sized, they have barely half a destroyers armament) In my opinion, I believe the mc 85 at its peak would have been armed with at least: *72+ heavy turbolasers *72+ heavy ion cannons. *60+ point defence cannons *6 proton torpedo launchers. While not particularly impressive in size of armaments; the ship itself has the shields needed to outlast any individual enemy ship from the imperial fleet, but also has a large enough star fighter complement to add to its already formidable defensive and offensive capabilities. The mc 85 would thus have the capacity (split between its 3 large hangers) of around 150 star fighters. Of these starfighters; 24 would be B wings, 36 would be Y wings, 36 would be A wings, and 60 would be x wings. While complements would vary throughout its service life, sometimes leaning towards more space superiority fighter centric side, the quality and multi role capabilities of its fighter wing no matter its size and composition would be capable of bringing space superiority to many battlefronts. This is my personal view on what the ship might have looked like. Ofc feel free to disagree but I like to believe these things are more well armed and equipped than the book made it out to be, especially since they made it look and sound so sexy I just can’t hate it. *
@chrisheitstuman636010 күн бұрын
@splatoonistproductions5345 How do you outlast an enemy if you don't have the firepower to knock down thier shields? Using your numbers example for example, the MC85 has 8 or so more tonnage than an ISD, (2 times the length, width and height, 2x2x2 = 8), yet carries a nearly identical weapons loadout. An ISD I having 2 twin main battery ion cannons, 6 twin main battery turbolasers, 60 twin heavy turbolasers and 60 heavy ion cannons. So a ship of similar size to the MC85 built along the lines of Imperial thinking...would out gun the MC85 by 8 to 1 before we talk about weapon size and power. Even 3 shield generators to 1 isn't enough to offset that kind of firepower disparity.
@splatoonistproductions534510 күн бұрын
@ I mean if an mc 80 liberty can do so with less shields and firepower (40 turbo lasers and 20 ion cannons) and an mc 80 independence can do so with slightly stronger shields and only 36 of each weapon type, why can’t the mc 85 with 72 of each and stronger shields than both liberty and independence put together? Plus it would also have proton torpedoes to cause damage to its hull before its shields even go down. Mon Cala cruisers have always had less armaments than an isd, and yet in a number of cases they have been able to win battles or cause serious damage thanks to their shields having been so strong, allowing their armaments to cause more than enough damage to an ISD’s shields. I hope this answered your question?
@chrisheitstuman636010 күн бұрын
@splatoonistproductions5345 OK so I think my response got deleted. Apologies if this is a duplicate. You will have to prove your claim to me that the MC80 Liberty can do it. Battlefront II an MC80, even the Disney heavy version, got smoked by a single broadside with full shields by an ISD IIs main battery on one side. "At that close range we won't last long against those star destroyers!" - Admiral Ackbar The only official number I have found for shields states "mon calamari ships typically have three times the number of shield generators as ships of similar size" Not more powerful, just amount. The Serridge SEAL System that is used (legends now but an actual name) is also found on the Kuat Drive Yards and Imperial designed Nebulon-B frigate. So the shields are not made of Mon Cal deep water magic. It is a design choice by the Mon Cals, and with an ISD being 25% heavier than a MC80 Liberty it's shields would be roughly 25% stronger shrinks the shield gap. Now for firepower the ISD has its 8 heavy main battery barrels (going with ISD I here as the II is 20% stronger in shields and weapons output) 60 twin heavy turbolasers and 60 heavy ion cannons, not mentioning mediums or below, translates into 8 main battery barrels + 90 heavy barrels per side vs the MC80s 30. So with a greater than 3 to 1 firepower advantage, including a 3 to 1 firepower advantage in those pesky shield eating ion cannons...the math doesnt add up in the MC80 Libertys favor.
@splatoonistproductions534510 күн бұрын
@ if I remember correctly, the mc 80 shield generators typically recycle a LOT faster than their imperial counterparts, as well as being more numerous and multi layered allowing for depleted shield generators to regenerate while still protecting the hull. so while they are in general weaker per generator they are much more numerous and all work together for a strong shield, I believe eckhartsladder made a better explanation about it before so I recommend that. I never said an mc 80 liberty can outright defeat an isd 2. But I think I understand where you’re coming from with a few bits. The battlefront 2 mission with that liberty specifically showed the ship was in the middle of a battle, and had just been rammed by a damaged cr 90 corvette which possibly caused a lot of damage to the generators, aside from that it probably also took a fair amount of fire from the stations defences and couples with an isd 2’s main battery it did ultimately lose. I think I failed to emphasise how mc 80s are meant to be able to “stand up” to a star destroyer and not be able to outright beat it without support, although sometimes with the right crews and fighters it can win 1:1 situations IN SOME CASES. Now if I also remember correctly, an mc 75 took sustained fire from an isd 1 for an extended period of time. And I’m sure we can agree that a liberty is better shielded than an mc 75 right? And an isd 1 is less well armed than an isd 2 in terms of turbo lasers and ion cannons. so a liberty is a step up from the mc 75 and the isd 2 is better than the isd 1. Meaning at least in this context that an mc 80 liberty is ultimately better equipped to deal with a typical isd 1 but not an isd 2, while something like the mc 75 is only able to “stand up to” an isd 1 but not outright beat it without some supporting flotilla. Tldr of this small bit above since I think I rambled a bit: mc 75= can stand up to isd 1 but not beat without sizeable support, mc 80= more evenly matched proportionally to an ISD 1 and can probably beat it in a number of cases with minimal support (tho to be fair when have we seen only one capital ship fighting one capital ship without needing tricks and smart strategy and just letting them brawl it out) ISD 2= ISD 1 but with stronger weapons either side of superstructure and more turbolasers/ion cannons overall so can practically beat an mc 80 liberty 1:1 in a brawl with minimal damage. Now the big thing here. as we know with the canon NR, they made ships like the star hawk (best ship imo) which had around 70% the firepower of an ISD, along with 4 shield bulbs from isd’s which even if we discount the increase in strength due to latest tech being used in these ones, that’s double the strength! It’s like having an mc 80 liberty with 50% more turbolasers and double the ion cannons and all the shield strength! Possibly more! But I get ahead of myself. After the war, NR ships seem to be focused primarily on defence and weapon variety. But as I think I’ve seen a bit of a pattern: ships after the war, I.e. purpose built warships, seem to get closer and closer to isd levels of weapons numbers without needing to get exactly there. Although, if mc 80’s weapons despite having less of them were completely ineffective against isd shielding they simply wouldn’t have used them as their main line warships. If the mc 80’s has the same shields as an isd for example, while retaining their original weapons numbers: the mc 80 loses without coming close to even getting through the shields. It’s thanks to the mc 80’s stronger shields overall that make them able to last long enough to have a chance at breaking through shields and causing damage. sorry if this seemed a bit ramble like. I do get a bit passionate about these sorts of things 😅
@chrisheitstuman636010 күн бұрын
@splatoonistproductions5345 I will need a citation for the recharging faster. There is only so much reactor power available for any ship. The ISD I had greater penetrating power in its main battery. 20% less of 8 barrels is about 1.5 barrels, taken from the ISD II, and so the ISD 1 is fitting about 3.25 barrels of energy into a single bolt going from ISD II to I. Which that much energy packed into a single bolt gets more penetration, and it has this in its main battery ion cannons as well. Fair point on the battle in Battlefront II. The MC75 is straight plot armor. Not only were neither of the ISDs using all of their weapons, but you can't take damage from a TIE fighter strafing run and not get shredded by the main battery gun of an ISD putting out around 12 bolts per second. And no they were well within range by any mentioned turbolaser range in space from the silly 100 km to the more reasonable over 4000 km in order to do a Base Delta Zero from orbit, or the 10 light minute range of the DBY-827 of the Venator. Also apparently even the GR75 is strong enough not to die from an ISD becuase no rebel ships died at Scariff until the Avenger showed up. The MC75 could never do anything more than be lunch for an ISD becuase it has 12 turbolasers and 4 ion cannons, literally it is running less armament than a 450m strike cruiser. The Starhawk...oh the Starhawk...it only has shield strength if it focuses it all forwards, otherwise being 50% larger than an ISD has 3.375 times the surface to defend and if spread evenly is only 85% as strong as an ISD with only 2. We know this becuase it is the exact same shield generators. The Alligence at 2200m is a better comparison and even it is 10% smaller and has vastly more firepower. So no. The MC80 Liberty cannot even "stand up" to an ISD ND you have given no numbers to change my mind. Just the oft repeated and never backed up "but their shields". So numbers my guy. Numbers. No numbers equals no proof.

1. There's actually a TON of real world precedent for exposed fuel storage in combat vessels. In almost all WWII battleships, for instance, fuel storage was right against the outer hull, often even outside the armored citadel. In fact, fuel storage spaces often played an integral role in a ship's torpedo defense system. Perhaps fuel storage is actually functioning as part of the armor scheme and is placed forward precisely BECAUSE receiving fire end-on is so common? 2. Speaking of real-world analogs, it seems pretty clear that the Raddus chase was meant to invoke a sort of morally inverted version of the hunt for the Bismarck. At the Battle of the Denmark Strait, despite the destruction of HMS Hood, the British battleship Prince of Wales was able to score underwater hits on the unarmored forward portion of Bismarck's hull that flooded one of the fuel storage tanks that forced the Germans to abort the attempt to break out into the North Atlantic and instead head back toward port (and the pursuing elements of the RN's Home Fleet). 3. Fuel storage has to go somewhere, and the rear and central portions of the ship are taken up by power and propulsion systems, and hangar spaces for the fighter complement (the real main offensive and defensive armament of Raddus). You still have to fit in crew quarters that aren't literally miles away from the main duty stations (which would mostly be associated with weapons stations, hangar spaces, the main bridge and the engineering spaces, all of which seem concentrated amidship or aft). That more or less pushes fuel storage forward by default.

While fuel was in fact used as part of the torpedo protection on warships during the Second World War, the oil fuel that was used is likely far less volatile than the fuel used in Star Wars, from what I remember, the ships in Star Wars use antimatter.

@kommandantgalileo a flooded fuel tank is just as useful as a vaporized fuel. Whatever the exact composition of fuel in the GFFA, having it hit certainly didn't destroy or even severely damage Raddus
@asaschuemann954510 күн бұрын
Just noticed this, okay, so while the front-mounted fuel tank is a questionable design choice, it does line up with the movie in terms of fuel carrying capacity. The Raddus was the 1 singular Resistance ship that didn't run out of fuel in that chase, as it had a lot to spare, and it probably couldn't refuel the other ships with that massive payload because it was actively under fire and likely didn't have the needed equipment for in-flight refueling of multiple other capital ships anyhow.

The massive amount of fuel does make sense as does the other points I think the issue with running out of fuel was more so they will eventually vs within a certain time They couldnt run as they could be tracked nor could they outspeed it for various reasons But the one big issue Why was that at the front of the ship which is the spot most likely to get torn apart first? MC85 Star Cruisers are actually armed with 108 heavy Turbolasers and heavy ion cannons, 80 point-defense laser cannons, 36 heavy concussion missile launchers and many more tractor beam projectors, unlike the New Republic who stripped much of the MC85 Dawn of Tranquility's orginal weaponry before it came into the Resistance's hands who updated the MC85 and heavily automated to be run by a smaller crew where it became the Raddus, where the MC85 Star Cruiser can actually hold 144 fighters in those two huge hangars on the port and starboard sides where those U-55 Orbital Loadlifters are filled by the Raddus instead of the aft hangars. With their true firepower, along with their shielding, including their actual particle shielding, their 130+ MGLT speed and surely fighter-like atmospheric speed and their advanced technology, these badass ships rival the Resurgent-class First Order Star Destroyers. Oh! And the Home One and the MC85 rivals each other's length were the Home One's shorter than the sleeker MC85 but still over 3 km long, dwarfing the 1,300 meter length that is commonly believed. Well, there you go!
@babamuhammedalijames92013 күн бұрын
Speaking of the Resurgent-class First Order Star Destroyer: There's no way a battlecruiser-sized Star Destroyer like the Resurgent-class First Order Star Destroyer could be blistering with 1,500 Turbolasers and ion cannons. That would be ridiculously overkill! That's 3/4 of an Executor-class Super Star Destroyer's 2,000 Turbolaser batteries armament or 2,000 heavy Turbolaser batteries armament. If you take an exact look at the Resurgent-class First Order Star Destroyer, it has 80 Turbolasers including 20 primary dual heavy Turbolaser batteries, 8 broadside-mounted twin dual and single heavy turbolaser batteries, 2 lower-mounted heavy triple turbolaser turrets while being armed with 100 triple light Turbolaser batteries and Turbolaser cannons in Battlefront 2 and those Turbolasers seen on the Steadfast in Rise Of Skywalker, which that makes a few hundred Turbolasers, where the Resurgent has 40 ion cannons, 20 point-defense laser turrets and 10 point-defense quad concussion missile emplacements 4 on the front, 2 on the left, 2 on the right and 2 on the back, or maybe actually several point-defense quad concussion missile emplacements and 10 tractor beam projectors, 4 on the front, 2 one the left, 2 on the right and 2 on the back, or maybe actually dozens of tractor beam projectors. So the Resurgent-class First Order Star Destroyer has only a few hundred Turbolasers, which is still a quite a lot, which makes more sense. So the Resurgent-class First Order Star Destroyer's Turbolaser armament is on par with the MC85 Star Cruiser. I got it from here rpggamer.org/page.php?page=3697, and also here: starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Resurgent-class_Star_Destroyer, where I added up with the Resurgent's 80 Turbolaser and the few hundred Turbolasers from Battlefront 2 and Rise Of Skywalker.

In fairness to the Ruusan Reformations, they made political and economic sense at the time. It wasn't about some shallow idea that "evil has been defeated", it was about very real concerns from sectors and worlds that were considering reintegrating with the Republic, that the Republic military might be a tool of tyranny in its own right now that there was no peer power to challenge Republic supremacy. And even then, the Old Republic didn't actually disarm, they just downsized and relabelled their military as the "Judicial Forces", and put limits on the size and armament of any ship with a hyperdrive capable of transiting to other sectors. Otherwise, member worlds were allowed to pursue their own military policy as they willed, so long as they abided by the arms limitations. If you wanted a big powerful fleet of massive battleships? You could have it, so long as none of them had a long range hyperdrive installed. If you wanted a war fleet capable of reaching anywhere in the galaxy on short notice? You could have it, so long as the size and armaments of your ships fell below the limits dictated by the Reformations. The Old Republic technically disbanded its military, but it was far from helpless, and it certainly never truly disarmed itself. The lore surrounding the Ruusan Reformations is actually pretty nuanced and interesting, and was actaully pretty well thought-out and intelligently executed. Which by comparison honestly makes what Mothma and the New Republic did in Disney Canon even more bafflingly stupid than it already was.

This ship is quite defensible, honestly. Just like how the carrying capacity stats only applied to what we see in the movie, the rest of the stats are about the Raddus as it exists in Resistance hands, not every MC85. The Raddus is an old ship that was recently retired from New Republic service, and only then could it enter the hands of the Resistance. The Raddus was extremely undercrewed, and was likely bound for a scrapyard before requisitioned by Leia. The lack of weapons at this point in its history can easily be justified.

Basically long time is relative, and just like how someone 100 years ago couldn't imagine the electricity we use on a daily basis, even these fusion reactors can run through their fuel way quicker than you would think when powering star destroyers going across a whole galaxy
@SkywalkerFilms192710 күн бұрын
Also, given that the Resistance isn't backed by the government, the reactors could have gone, say, 20 years since a refuel and service on a ship that needs refueling every 20 years or so.

@@MetaNerdzLore A logistical and worldbuilding issue in the EU, or something I believe to be one, at least, would be the titanic fuel requirements to match with the supposed power output of these ships in EU lore. The Venator, for instance, burns 40,000 tons of fuel at max power per second. That would be 144 MILLION tons of fuel per hour, the mass equivalent of three and a half Imperial Star Destroyers, and somewhere close to 10x the Venator's own mass. NOTE: You could consider it a bug of sci-fi in general, of course, especially on interstellar to galactic scales, and the larger ships become in the setting. Meanwhile, the Raddus kept up a full burn for 18 hours to stay ahead of the First Order fleet. A ship that size would be burning a lot of fuel to keep both shields at full strength and the engines at full power, alongside all the other functions on the Raddus.

@@MetaNerdzLore By the way, in the Ahsoka show, the Home One appeared again... Scaled (compared to the Ghost) at about - 2 miles. Fairly consistent with other prior shots. And so, only slightly smaller, than the Raddus. (which I assume once had much more weaponry prior decommissioning from the frontlines; say, 72 turbolasers, 72 ion cannon, and 90 quadlasers?) And perhaps even 16 to 17,000 crew once. The Cross Sections say heavy automation was a Resistance priority.

How can a part of the ship constantly be in Hyperspace while the rest of the ship isn't? I know the science of Star Wars is wonky but that seems even more unbelievable than anything else about hyperspace and the ramming technique.

Some modern tanks use fuel tanks as an extra layer of armor. I know it sounds strange but a liquid can absorb impact pretty well. I wonder if this ship had something similar in mind?
@nitebones110 күн бұрын
for me one super easy change which could make the hyper space ram not have any major pot holes as in why didnt they just do it more. is they should have had it when the ship colided with the supremasy instead of cutting right threw it instead heavily damages the ship sure but mostly it kicks up so much radation it blinds all the ships sensors allowing the resistance ships to scatter and get out of there bascily acting like a huge emp attack. that way you could also still have fins plan of taking out the tracker still work giving him that role in the film

Probably not applicable in space-ships but, maybe the fuel in front can act like a layer of armour like how some tanks IRL use fuel tanks to absorb incoming fire e.g. the STRV 103 using external jerry cans for armour.

I think we need to consider the possibility that this particular cruiser might have been substantially defanged before it was given to the resistance. Its likely the ships themselves are extremely powerful but this one in particular was deliberately defanged enough to not pose a threat to New Republic forces and other worlds likely signed off as a security vessel that may have already been damaged or perhaps was a older model of the design. Then there is the possibility that the resistance simply couldn't maintain the ship properly so they took off some of the weapons and other systems to allow the ship to be run by a smaller crew. Plus there is political and social things to consider. The ship has to have been given by the New Republic cause it was part of the Republic Navy or at least part of the Mon Cal navy and given that one of the crew members or leader was Leia Solo, people around the galaxy probably were worried she might go on a path of conquest and destruction like her father did. People in the New Republic did find out she was the daughter of Vadar and that destroyed her reputation despite the efforts she did committing to the fall of the Empire. New Republic officials probably figured, yeah she might be right, there could be something out there, and she is really pushing this, despite her connections to one of the worst mass killers in the galaxy she was vital to the New Republic so lets at least give her something strong and safe, but lets make sure its defanged enough and give her outdated fighters or similar so she doesn't look that threatening except to maybe imperial forces still in hiding or pirates.

That comment about Hyperspace Ramming. Well I might as well an engage with the channel. The Radditz hitting that chamber and that being the cause is unlikly. That chamber is mounted on the centerline, mid ships. The Radditz missed by over a kilometer, and if it did hit, collosion damage would have started at the point of impact, not on the leading edge. Well at least that is my take.

I didn't know the 'reason' which is still shit that this worked was because the tracking device was partly in hyperspace that somewhat makes me feel better about that scene. However the writing of the movie still leaves me unhappy.. why not explain said plan, why use the best ship for that job, when turning around could lead to them turning the device off since you weren't facing the hyperspace lane to run.. Surely the rebel fleet could've split up locations and spread out to make finding them harder with the last of their fuel.. or like i said use a smaller ship or even fighters to hyperspace on auto pilot (without a pilot an r2 unit can fly a fighter, and possibly a larger ship) and also hiding the plan from the ace who just risked his life.. was dumb, he would've stayed behind. Maybe more people would've liked holdo if she'd sat down and said, look this is the plan and i know you want to be the one to push the button and die but you being a leader and pilot the rebellion's needs you more than just another leader who can barely fight, she'd then be a bad ass for doing it rather than a whiny feminist stand in. The whole plot of the movie though man.. what a waste.

No, Palpatine died and he stayed dead. That "somehow" nonsense never happened. If Disney can murder the entire EU and relegate it to "Legends" status then we're all free to pick and choose what we will and won't accept from the slop they've put out (besides Andor, Rogue One, the Mandalorian I guess, and if I'm feeling generous Solo which wasn't exactly bad it was just kinda dull, you can keep the ANTIFA droid though). Oh and that little hand drawn thing showing the speeds of various starships at 3:14 brings back memories. Can't recall the name but I had a book with it as a kid. Star Wars information wasn't nearly as easy to come by pre-Internet so I spent a lot of time pouring over the pages of that book

The Disney universe doesn't make much sense.. i can see Mon Mothma pushing to reduce ships as she did in EU(real canon :D) however.. If you think about how the Clone wars started and before them.. with the Techno union and trade federation building armies to make sure they can get rid of pirates. So if i took over from the empire.. i'd be building back almost as big as the empire all those ex imperials who served but didn't believe in the empire.. they still need jobs and they can run drills train the next generation provide aid and support.. and defend vs pirates and left over imperials. Maybe i risk a few stolen ships by imperials but i'd have loyal rebels in command, and make sure former imperials i wasn't sure about were the ones training (with oversight) the next generations as.. the training for the empire was never too bad.. beyond the racism/specesism? and i feel like ex imperials helping defend their homes from pirates is more of a noble goal they could attach to.

As soon as I saw the MC85 in TLJ I felt like something was off with the design. I'm sorry but it just looks... goofy. The proportions are weird, I don't know how to describe it. Well at least in the movie anyway, it's more palatable here in the reference images being used. Like from 5:55 to 6:00, I hate how pointy that thing is and how it bulges out around the front third of the length. I guess that's the fuel storage huh, stupid explanation for a movie script like that, which reminds me... Kind of ironic this thing's supposed to be so fast when we got such a low speed anti climactic chase involving it... I would have to say the movie did a terrible job at showing us how OP this ship really was if we're to truly believe the facts being put forward in supplementary materials. Aside from the shield strength, nothing that was portrayed really lines up with what's written in the databooks, I did not get a sense of the Raddus being a super powerful flagship if you know what I mean. 10:10 That right there. What are these stats even? There's no consistency between one set making this thing OP as hell and another set being woefully underpowered and downright inadequate if not mildly lore breaking. Then on top of that everything put in these databooks generally just feels disconnected from what we're shown on screen regardless of what ship etc it is. 11:00 That official explanation involves so much mental gymnastics to justify the controversial Holdo Maneuver. We can't just stick with she disabled the mass detection safety thing that hyperdrives typically have? I honestly didn't pick up on that plot detail, or if I did I forgot about it cause I don't really like the movie. I think I've seen it like 3 times? It certainly looks fantastic though I'll give it that. But I mean that's kind of my point, there was nothing within the movie to explain that Supremacy explosion was because of this mini hyperspace chamber inside the ship and not simply because the Raddus yeeted itself into this one. How about the whole Starfortress and the magnetic bombs explanation as another example where they had to scramble to come up with some bullshit to justify the scene.

Yes the video still got a thumbs up. Mon Calamari designs are indefensible. It has NEVER been demonstrated that they are good designs except MAYBE for the MC90, but aside from that one having numbers that kind of make sense, all other Mon Cal designs are powered by unicorn farts and skittles. It has never been demonstrated to be superior nor do any diagrams or official stats show it to be anything more than large amounts of copium. Star Wars (whoever has owned it) has done serious disservice by never being able to explain anything ither than making generic and unsupported statements about shields. I want them to fix them, but they wont. Fight me.

i dont like geeky grotto, their parts may be lego compatiable but the designs are just stolen from lego, Even some of the images are from lego but with the lego logo fotoshopped out. an immoral practice, and what concerns me is the possibility that many of the designs that arent from the lego company are stolen designs from moc builders. the online lego deigners often sell their own instruction directly or though parteon for example. Chinese onilne stores with fake lego often steal their designs without credit or payment and resell them as their own work.
