I mentioned on another video about playing music and losing sense of space and time. Music is thought of as existing in time and sound obviously travels through what we call space which in this case really means air. The interesting thing about music is that when you play it or even listen to it, you are not actually focusing on sound or even individual notes at all. Your mind is "hearing" what lies between the notes, i.e. their frequency relationships whether consonant or dissonant.

I would like to hear you comment on a scene that's often repeated in movies: They pull out a sheet of paper and say that the fastest way from point A to point B is not a straight line, and then they bend the paper sheet and take a pen and punch a hole and say see?! this is bending space and time. I read a book a long long time ago, perhaps in a galaxy far away. (I may be misremembering but I think it was The Book of Thoth ) In it they described zero as the void, and the fact that nothing could exist in the void made 1 necessary in order to perceive the void. But since you cannot exist in the void still, in order to perceive 1 you need a second point, or 2. This of course leads to a distance between 1 and 2 but in order to perceive THAT you need a 3rd point, which then forms a triangle needing yet another point to observe that leading to 4, and so on and so on forever. Just getting more and more complex until we get to reality I assume. Any thoughts on the relevance of this or is it just a pointless thought experiment?

There is Something that is Nothing that exists. It's most easily described by labeling it "Void". However the mere attempt to label it, removes the consciousness' understanding of it. I don't seem to have a problem understanding what Nikola Tesla said, but did anyone ever ask Einstein what he meant when he used the term space, especially with respect the coined term "spacetime"? I think many experiments have been performed on more than one clocks to demonstrate it is very difficult to keep clocks synchronized and the element of different motion will not allow two clocks to remain synchronized. I've never really believed space could be bent. On Earth the equivalent would be like saying two cities could be bent together. For example, bending Los Angeles so it touches London, it's impossible.

You raise a very pertinent point. How can a non-existent thing be any shape at all let alone be somehow bent? Thinking about it, space is the gap between objects. At a cosmic level, it is the void between galaxies and other large phenomena. You can't change the shape of a void by bending it. You can only change the shape of a void by moving the objects surrounding it. Objects only move by something acting upon them. ultimately that something is "WILL". Consider a stone. That stone will not move unless I decide to throw it. Hence we have "WILL". We can observe, again at a cosmic level, all manner of motions between stars, galaxies, nebulae etc. Indeed, these motions also seem to be organising and form structures. Not what one would expect from an explosion from a single point (Big Bang theory*). I can only conclude that what we observe is a snapshot of an ongoing process. It appears that that process has either design from Nature (or the Divine) or it is self designing (in which case the system itself is the Divine). In either case we get back to "WILL". * The Big Bang Theory. I am uncomfortable with this theory.The maths keep being changed to make it fit observations. It offers no explanation for why the supposed bang happened in the first place (though I think it was likely offered as a proof of God). It does not explain many observed phenomena which would tend to contradict the theory, such as colliding galaxies. It does not consider the point that even if our observable universe was the result of a big bang, it may not even be unique, as big bangs could occur over and over again or in many places more or less at once. It's late here in the UK and I have been drinking whisky after my late shift at work, so apologies for any ramblings.

I find it that an antinomy is reached here between the sophia perennis - which btw, take it from me, you explain _incredibly_ well albeit with a somewhat steep learning curve - and of all things christianity. And it is an absolute antinomy between these two metaphysical systems. On one hand for you God is pure potential and therefore pure potency, which means we are basically speaking of a God or Absolute that is pure Subject. Meanwhile the Aristotelean legacy in both Christianity and Islam is that God is purely actual (and I always get the impression that it is pure Object e.g when God is described as completely different from Creation). Both make good points, both are incredible insights but only one can be correct. I reckon a "middle way" which can be soteriologically safe would be to just absorb as much Wisdom as possible, carry on with purification and mantain bhakti. At the same time that also could run the danger of being neither cold neither hot but lukewarm
